MOON GOD

chapter 11

I tell Dad where Delilah is and run the opposite direction. They don't need me near her or anyone for that matter.

I run as hard as I can. The Moon is finally up and the wind is blowing.. I can feel my fingers begin to burn because of the chilly air.

Out of nowhere I get this shooting pain in my back. "Oww."

It begins to increase. My back feels like it's on fire.

"Don't move."

I jump into a defense stance as I hear a female's voice. I fall to my knees. It's getting hard to get air in. My eyes are fogging up and I notice a young lady walk towards me.

"Kelly, what are you doing?? Don't touch him, he's the enemy."

My eyes begin to slowly close as I feel the soft hand of the the young lady touch my back. It hits me. I've been shot with silver. If it's left inside the body it could kill me.

I lift my arm up as my last attempt to crawl away but there I don't get far.

KELLY POV

This werewolf is different. Something about him whispers.. power and goodness.

I shake the feeling off and walk towards him. His arm is raised in a fighting stance but we both know he isnt able to fight with that silver dart in his back.

As I reach down to pull the dart out, Henry loudly whispers. "What are you doing? He's the enemy?"

I roll my eyes. Something deep inside of me is pulling me to help him. I pull the dart out and he groans. "Leave me alone."

He rolls over as I get down on my knees. I don't know if it's the full moon or what but this man's eyes are so beautiful. They're like the ocean on a stormy night searching for my soul.

His hair is dampened by his sweat and his breathing is beginning to go back down to normal. "So, wolf why are you asking for a death sentence coming onto hunter Territory?"

Henry walks over to me and looks down. "You?! You were the one that was standing there when my sister died!!"

I immediately stand up and kick the man on the ground. "You were one of those horrible creatures that day?!!"

He holds his stomach. "I didn't want her to die. You don't understand, you.. you don't understand what y'all have done to my people and the vampires. Y'all are the horrible creatures not us. We have to defend ourselves from you guys all the time."

Henry yanks the man up and slams him into a tree. "Shut your mouth! We have been terrorized by y'all for centuries... You can't leave us alone. Your kind are killers.. y'all killed my father and sister!!"

Henry punches him in the stomach. "People like you deserve to die."
