#55: Want You Back (Inspired By Lyrics)

Ashton:

Can't help but wondering if this is the last time that I'll see your face

"Y/N! Wait!" you hear Ashton shout, but you carry on walking away. You had just ended things with him, for various reasons, and knew that if you stayed in this park for any longer that you would burst into tears. "Y/N! Please! Let's talk about this!" he continues to shout whilst running down the path to catch you up, and you can tell that even he is crying now. "Ashton, please, just leave it," you whisper, refusing to turn around to face him as you knew that the sight of him crying would break your heart even more. "When can we talk then? We can't leave it like this," he pleads, reaching out for your hand, but you pull away. "There is nothing that needs to be said. I can't do it any more Ash, I'm sorry, I really am," you say softly, finally turning to face him. He looks broken. "Y/N, please. This can't be the last time I see you," he begs, "We can't end it this way." "Yes, we can Ashton. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to end this way, but it's for the best," you half smile, before continuing your way out of the park. "Y/N! Please!" he shouts after you again, but this time you ignore him.

Calum:

I know, you know, I will never get over you

"Calum, why are you calling me?" you ask down the phone. It had been a few months since you and Calum had broken up, but recently he had started to try contacting you again, and you didn't know how you felt about it. "Y/N, I'm sorry if you think I am bothering you, that's not what I am meaning to do," he starts, "But we really need to talk." "About what, Calum?" you sigh, "We broke up months ago. What is there to still talk about?" "I think you know what I want to talk about," he sighs back, "You know how crazy I am about you, Y/N. And I get that it didn't work out because I was so busy with the band. But we have finished our tour now, and I am home for ages. Please, Y/N, can we just at least meet up for a coffee or something?" he pleads. "And what do you expect to happen, Cal? That we get back together?" you question. You really didn't know how you felt about that. "Y/N, please. I can't bear to think about you with anyone else. I need to be with you," he pleads over the phone. "I will think about the coffee," you respond, before hanging up the phone.

Luke:

All I think about is where I went wrong

"It's all my fault, Ash," Luke sobs to his bandmate, days after the two of you had split up. "Hey, dude, I'm sure it's not your fault," Ashton tries to reassure him, but Luke is having none of it. "If I hadn't had been away all of the time. If we hadn't have gone on tour, Ash, then maybe Y/N and I would still be together. I wish things had have been different. I wish I hadn't had to leave her all the time," he continues to sob, "For fucks sake! It's all my fault! Why do I ruin everything?!" "Luke, you can't think like this," Ashton says, "Y/N always said she never wanted you to compromise your career, and you've got to accept that. So, things didn't work out, but you can't blame yourself for that, please. You've been focusing on the band, and that's a great thing." "I'm sorry Ash," Luke sighs, "But I can't help but think about all of the things that I could have done differently. And how, if I had have done those things differently, that maybe she would still be with me right now." "I know man, I'm sorry," Ash sighs, knowing that there was nothing he could do for Luke so soon after you guys had broken up.

Michael:

Yeah, I still dream for you

"I hope Y/N is doing okay, you know?" Michael, your ex-boyfriend, says to his bandmate Calum, as they are sat together on their tour bus. "What do you mean?" Cal replies, seeming confused. "Like, I know that we don't speak anymore, but I still care about her a lot. I hope she got that job she wanted, and I hope that she is happy now," he smiles to himself. "That's so nice of you," Cal says, "Maybe you should speak to her, and say this to her. She might appreciate hearing that from you?" "She wouldn't want to speak anyway, and it would make things more complicated. It's easier this way. I will just cheer for her on the side-lines, ask other people how she is doing. As long as she is happy; that's all that I care about," he smiles again. "So, you won't speak to her again?" Calum asks, still a little confused by Michael's words. "No, not unless she speaks to me. I don't want to make her uncomfortable. But, that doesn't mean that I don't care about her still, and that I don't wish her all the best. She still means a lot to me."

Sooooooo..... it's been nearly a year of not uploading. Sorry. Oops. But I do A Levels so...

My personal review of this new 5sos era: I am beyond excited that 5sos are back. Want You Back is an absolute tune that I have been playing non-stop since it was released. When I read the lyrics on like Monday I was like wow this is gonna be a soppy song, dare I say another Amnesia, but wow I was pleasantly surprised. ALSO they normally release the worst song on the album as the single SO IF THIS IS THE WORST THEN GIVE ME 5SOS3 NOW PLEASEEE!
