Lala and Will tried to take me and Anissa away. They wanted us to "put in work" at the Sea Horse Motel. Was that it for me and Anissa? It wasn't. Black Lightning saved us. I was kind of scared because when you try to look into his eyes it hurts. That day changed my life. But Khalil makes me forget about all of those bad thoughts. He sat with me on the rooftop and he told me that if they had killed me he would've never gotten the chance to tell me how he felt about me.
