Lost || Park Jimin FF

Chapter 8

"Yah! Holup! Where are you going???" Jungkook said running up beside me.

"FAR away from here!" I exclaimed while opening the large door. The door slammed shut before he could reply. I felt kinda bad, I didn't mean to seem rude. I casually plugged in my earbuds and turned on some music, beginning my walk to the apartment.

A couple minutes passed and it turned out I forgot my way back. Well.. shoot TT. I had found a boardwalk which is quite barren, considering it was still pretty early. I strolled slowly to my left watching the small shops set up for the day. Seeing a Cafe I decided to get some coffee and maybe a donut for Mina. I'm such a great friend, aren't I?

Smiling at my idea, I pushed the door open. I sat at a table by the window, just to look at the ocean.

"Are you sure she said to meet up here?" A voice broke the calming silence. The bell on the door ringing as she and her friend entered the Cafe.

"Positive," the other girl spoke. They sat at the table next to mine. They continued talking while they were waiting.

The Barista walked up to me with her pad in her hand and an apron around her waist. "Good morning miss. What would you like?"

"I'll have a late and a glazed donut, please." My accent was thick but she was able to understand me. I like it here, I don't feel as scared. And it's a good thing I learned English when I was little.

When I started paying attention I realized that one of the girls was looking at me weirdly. I shrugged it off. Maybe they don't see a lot of people like me here. Though, her stare was beginning to make me uncomfortable. I switched the position I was sitting in and felt something in my pocket jab my leg. I pulled the mysterious object out of my pocket and saw that it was a golden chained necklace with the word 'ARMY' in gold letters. It was pretty, but what was it meant to stand for?

The bell on the door rang once more, making me look up. A third girl came in and greeted her friends.

"Aaayyyy Ev," The two girls said in unison, while they finger gunned each other. What an odd group of friends. I smiled. I wish Mina and I had more friends. Well, it's kinda my own fought. Gosh, why does Mina even have me as a friend I'm boring af.

"Danielle. Jenna," She said dramatically and bowed, "I have come bearing great news. I have gotten us allllllll of the Harry Potter movies. And I proclaim that we shall have a Movie Marathon." She looked very proud of herself as she sat down.

The others squealed with excitement as they started to plan their night. I drifted away into my own thoughts when the barista had brought me my latte and the donut for Mina. I thanked her and drank my latte slowly. I held the necklace tightly in my hand. I can't lose this. I put it around my neck, connecting the two ends.

The girl was looking at me again. I decided to ignore her and looked out the window. More people started to appear on the boardwalk.

"Hey..uh where'd you get that necklace from?" A voice beside me asked. I looked over to see the same girl and one of her friends.

"I just found it in my pocket..." I said slowly. I felt like I was somewhat being interrogated.

"Doesn't it look like his? and I could've sworn I've seen him wear that outfit before!" She spoke quietly to the friend. Her friend squinted as if trying to remember something and nodded.

"Do you happen to know a Park Jimin?" The friend asked. I thought for a moment should I tell them? Maybe if I answer in Korean they won't understand and will leave me alone.

"Ne," I looked away finishing my latte. 

"Have you met him?"

I hesitated, "Ne."

They looked at each other and then back at me. Their eyes flashed with curiosity. One of them was about to say something when the third friend came up. 

"I'm sorry if they are bothering you." she laughed awkwardly and said something quietly to her friends. 

"It's fine. I was just leaving anyway." I grabbed the donut bag nodded to them as a goodbye and left, going back the way I came. I let out a sigh of relief. Good thing their friend came over. I didn't feel like answering thousands of questions. I decided to call Mina to help me get home.

LATER

 I burst through the front door very much happy to be home. Surprised to see everyone gathered in the living room.  I smiled awkwardly. 

"Welcome home! I was starting to think you'd never make it back!" Mina said smiling widely.

"Whats.. going on...?" I said slowly, giving Mina her donut. 

"Well, we were watching a movie. It ended just now, but we can watch another one for your sake!" She looked excited and waiting for my answer.

"Sure." I agreed for HER sake now. I could tell she REALLY wanted to watch another movie. I sighed and sat down on the floor by Mina. 

Since Mina and Jungkook couldn't agree on a movie Taehyung picked it instead. Soon the lights were turned off and the movie was beginning to play.
