It was a casual day in the first order.

You were sitting in your office sifting through papers and signing lines occasionally. You left a side door open because there was a constant flow of people asking you questions or asking for your signature on proposal on an issue. Hux had decided to basically make you his Vice President so that when he had to, he could deal with pressing matters and allow you to take on side missions of equal importance. But your job was not just a strictly paperwork sort of day to day basis ordeal. The troopers called you the part time psychologist. Which was absolutely true.

At the worst of times you found that some of the top commanders would end up sitting across from you in need of advice for a situation. Even Hux himself had asked you for advice on speeches occasionally. You were pretty good with people, meaning that your doors were always open to anyone in need of help.

A new trooper entered the door with a stack of papers in hand and pen in the other. You relieved him of the load and started skimming through the pages initialing certain lines and so forth. You supposed that another trooper had entered the room, and kept focused on the pile in front of you wanting to get this stack off of your desk. Not even looking up you stated
"I'm signing some legislation but I can help you in a few minutes, you can sit down if you'd like"
"Take your time" he replied
Slowing looking up you were surprised to see Kylo Ren slouch into a comfy chair across from you.

"oh, my appologies" you replied surprised to see him in your office because he hardly came to this area of the starship.

"No, its quite alright I hear you're the busiest woman around" he casually replied.

You looked at him with a little side smirk trying to focus on the documents before you, but missed the line with your signature by about 2 inches.

great

"Have I disturbed you, I can come back" he questioned reading your thoughts at that moment.

"Do you need something, paperwork or.."

"How are you so calm and collected. I have no doubt understanding that you have stood in the midst of chaous and war out in missions with commanders that have left us because of how worn out thaey have become. You have seen death on and off of this ship. However, you do not faulter in any task given to you."

"I think you give me a little too much credit." you started putting down your pen

"I will have these ready for you later today" you nodded to the trooper standing at the door. He turned around and went back to his position on the ship. Bringing your attention back to Kylo.

"Yes, I have fought in battles. Yes, I have seen death here. Yes, I do work hard. But, I am younger than the commanders that have successfully executed the orders they have been given, and I must contiue to do so for a long time to ever achieve the amount of moral that the men before us have achieved. You, Kylo Ren are also a impressive combatant in this order. It is mind blowing that I could have such a significant man sitting across from me asking as to why I am important to Hux. While he sees you as cockroach. No disrespect but he does not favor you, and it is easy to see that, because you're a threat to Hux." You explained to him and he smiled,

"I didn't know you paid attention that much, you're practically on your on your own floor. But you know I'm surprised." He pondered out loud.

"Surprised? I didn't even know that was in your vocabulary" you said he laughed again.

"When are your office hours" he questioned.

"Why? Are you firing me and looking for a replacement." You dramatically played along.

"Hell no, it would be difficult to find someone as unprofessional as you." he continued.

"Wow how generous you are"

"I am?" he stated wondering as to what you meant. You realized you had him at the edge of his seat wanting to know what you were goung to throw at him next.

"No" you said.

"oh" he chuckled covering his face with his hands. He was so confused about you because Hux was such a stern fellow and you were quite the opposite. Yet when he asked Hux about you Hux had made it quite clear that you were just as boring as he was.

"So when should I come back" he said

"Never" you replied

"So tomorrow at 4" he pretended to check his schedule on a blank sheet of paper.

"perfect and bring snacks" you said looking at him dumbly.

"done" he finished.

He stood up walking towards the door but turned before he left.

"You know you should really finish that paperwork, it seems like you're pretty busy" he teased

"Thank you for that reminder, it really wasn't needed but thank you commander obvious" you joked.

"My pleasure" he replied as he walked out the door.
