Chapter Twenty Two.

Anaya

"Excuse me is there an Terra Williams here" I asked the lady at the front desk. "Give me one second to check" the lady said scrolling on her computer. I checked the time on my watch. "You just missed her she checked out just morning" she said with a smile. "Do you know who checked her out" I asked. "Sorry ma'am I can't give you anymore information" she said getting back to work. I flashed my badge. "I'm a detective ma'am it's important" I said. She grabbed my badge. "I'm a call it in" she said picking up the phone. I rolled my eyes. I snatched my badge. "Look ma'am my daughter was killed a while back and I really need to see who checked her out" I said out of desperation. She let out a deep sigh. "Five minutes" she said handing me the clipboard. I checked for today and checked her visitors. "Rio Davis" I read. My eyes got wide. "Same last name" I said under my breath. "I knew it" I added. I gave her the clipboard back and rushed out the hospital. Terra is Rari's wife. Rio and Montez has to be related. When I pulled Rio over that night I ran his tags. The address matched Montez Davis address. Only thing I didn't know was who was with Montez that night.

I parked a few houses down from the suspects house. I didn't know who was in there so I decided to watch the house for a minute. When I didn't see anyone come in or out I made my move. I had my gun on my  side gripping it tightly. I felt some vibrations from my pocket. It was my phone. I checked it and it was my sister China. My sister and I rarely speak and if she is calling me at this time it has to be important. "China I'm a have to call you back" I said making sure no one was around to see me. "No please sis it's about Mira" she said crying. "What about her" I asked. "I haven't seen her since yesterday she told me that she was going over her boyfriends house and usually when this happen she come right home in the morning it's noon and she is not here" she said in tears. "What's her boyfriends name" I said. "Bishop" she said. "Sis I'm a look into that for you don't worry she gone pop up okay" I said trying to calm her down. I tried to place my phone in my pocket and dropped it. When I was lifting up I noticed something in a car. If I wasn't mistaken it was a person. I walked over to the car and knocked on the driver side window. I was guessing that the person was sleep so I knocked harder. When the person didn't budge I attempted to open the car door. It was unlocked. I grabbed the girls shoulder and her body fell. I looked at my hand and noticed blood. "Oh my god" I said loud. I lifted her up to get a good look at her and noticed she took a gun shot womb to the head. I looked closer at her face and my heart dropped. It was my niece.
MIRA.

I wanted to call it in, but I was scared of the outcome. I ran the tags of the person who owned the car. It was indeed her boyfriend car. My only question was why is his car by Montez Davis's address? Something wasn't adding up. Either their friends or Mira was up to no good. I made my way closer to the house and tried to find a way in. Walking past the window I seen a familiar face. I remember a while back before China moved out here she introduced me to these two girls. I don't really remember the other one but the only reason I remembered this girl in particular cause not only was she pregnant. She had a piece of her ear missing from when she got shot. She got on drugs really bad and her and China got into it. China made her and that other girl leave and I never seen them again. I couldn't really think of her name but it was on the tip of my tongue. I was about to climb thru a window from the back until I seen Rari walking up. "What the hell" I said trying to hide. Why is Rari here? I asked myself. I seen him knock on the door. I watched that girl walk to the door with a gun in her hand following behind someone else. The boy opened the door and Rari walked in. Soon as he walked in that girl pulled the gun on him.

I pulled out my phone and called my ex partner. "I know what you told me but I really need you" I said. "Need me for what Anaya" he said. "I just found my niece dead in the same neighborhood as Montez Davis's house" I said. "Holy shit I'm on my way" he said. "Come alone" I said. "I can't do that" he said. "Well then I'll go in myself" I said hanging up. I made sure my gun was loaded and my vest was on right. I was about to go in and then another car pulled up. It was the same car I pulled over that night.

By now I was lost ass hell. I didn't know what was going on.
