Chapter Four

after school that day i went straight to jonah's locker. he raised his eyebrows at me and smiled. i prayed it wasn't obvious how nervous i was.

as we walked into the gym, the three familiar boys were there, as well as about half of the rest of the team.

jack smiled and waved, and when he did man did all the heads turn. i blushed in response and waved before making my way to the bleachers.

i talked to jonah and was on my phone most of the practice, trying my hardest not to stare at the now shirtless and sweating jack.

after practice he whispered something to the other two boys, before walking up to us. as he told us he was going to hop in the shower, i tried my best not to look at his bare chest. i failed.

after about 15 minutes, the three came walking out of the locker room laughing. corbyn suggested that since both me and jack have our cars here, he would drive jack's with daniel and jonah and jack could ride with me and tell me where to go. i shot jonah a nervous look and he gave me a thumbs up. great. there's no other option.

jack smiled as we sat in the car and i pulled out of the parking lot. as i stop at the first red light i see jack's car next to us, corbyn in the driver's seat, jonah in the front seat, and daniel in the back. all three of them turned and made faces out the window at us and lipsynced to what ever song was blasting from corbyn's aux cord.

i chuckled and danced back until i heard an impatient honk behind me and realized the light had already turned. my cheeks grew four shades darker as i hurried up and turned the corner.

jack started dying of laughter and barely made out the words "keep your eyes on the damn road ZACH," before tears started streaming down his face.

he looked so adorable i couldn't help but laugh too.

zach's blush is so goddamn adorable.

a few wrong turns and a lot of laughing later, we arrived at my house. zach is a horrible driver and it honestly makes me cry laughing every time he makes a wrong turn.

a few hours later,, we had papa johns ordered and were playing fortnite. zach was getting mad because he kept losing first and that made me laugh even more than his driving.

at one point he ran right into the storm and he started singing a whole song about it. i started laughing harder and he smiled but punched me in the chest.

i grabbed his hand and pulled him into a giant hug, not letting him go. he struggled at first but eventually laid down next to me. i wrapped my arm around him, still holding the controller and attempting to shoot at jonah.

out of nowhere, daniel ran around the corner and killed me. i groaned and mocked what zach did when he died before throwing my remote across the couch. daniel thought it was the funniest shit he'd ever seen.

eventually zach fell asleep in my arms and i pulled out my phone and scrolled through Instagram while secretly sneaking looks at his beautiful sleeping face, making sure the other guys didnt notice.

i woke up to see jacks eyes on me and i blushed even more. god i hate these rosy ass cheeks.

i rolled over to see corbyn also sleeping, daniel on his phone, and i guess jonah and jack were talking.

~~time skip dedicated to zachs cheeks~~

it was around ten o'clock and we were all just chilling in jack's room talking. jack's mom told us we could stay the night and jack could take us to school in the morning, and he agreed.

we were all bored as hell when corbyn said the words that i would soon regret ::

"lets play truth or dare."
