strings of lights were pinned to the outskirts of the gym. 'total eclipse of the heart' by bonnie tyler' was blaring over the loud speakers.
couples were swaying back and forth, kissing and showing compassion.
"come on" he chuckled grabbing my hand, he led me to a quiet corner in the gym, because he knew how much i didn't like people watching me. "dance with me" he smiled.
"corey, you know i can't dance" i laughed.
"you don't have to" he whispered.
he grabbed me by my waist, my heels slipping off. my feet found their way on top of his converse. a suit with converse, corey always manages to put his own twist into his outfits.

i jolted up, covered in sweat. my sheets clinging to my skin. my room was dark and my chest was heaving.
my alarm clock read '4:58', i sighed in defeat and plopped back against my pillows.
