It was the beginning of a new school term and once again two very different types of people gathered on each side of the gym, separated. One side had very light colors, pastels the other just dark shades. The pastels with smiles and the muted colors just wore bored expressions.

They were all staring straight ahead receiving a speech but if anyone bothered to notice they would have seen someone from each side take a side glance and end up accidentally locking eyes.

The boy, in his mint pastel hoodie and the girl with a dark forest green sweater staring in each other's eyes. She had short, dark, brown hair with brown eyes and he had light brown hair with hazelnut eyes. They stood for a second looking at each other when their eyes snapped back to the front when they heard clapping.

They didn't think anything much of it but they were both wrong. That moment would change their lives forever. But for worse or better they had no way of knowing.
