Destiny Unraveled

Chapter 16

The familiar smells of Emily is what awakens Gabbie from her comatose; she glances around to see all of the pack there but Jared and Jacob. She hears noise in the kitchen and assumes it's Emily tampering in the kitchen. Going to get up, a unbearable pain shoots through her causing her to let out a cry of pain alerting the others she is awake. Paul and Embry are by her side in seconds and Sam strolls out of the kitchen, Emily tucked at his side. She can see the tremors coming off of Paul and so she smiles at him to say that she's okay.

"I'm so sorry," Sam begins. "But it'll scar."

"I'm gonna kill him." growls Paul but Gabbie puts a hand on his chest to calm him down.

"Give me my phone." she demands. "I need to make a call." Embry hands her the wolf clad phone and she smiles at the inside joke. She picks his name of off the emergency contacts and smiles when he picks up.

"Gabriella, what a surprise!"

"I told you Niklaus, it's Gabbie." she drones monotonously.

"You know I'll never listen."

"Ok look Nik, I got hurt pretty bad and I need your help."

"Who hurt you? I will murder them for you, darling."

"A lot of people have hurt me including you, so pipe down and get here."

"Where?"

"La Push, Washington."

A scoff is heard from the phone. "Why the hell are you there darling? It's such a boring town."

"Not everyone craves chaos Klaus Mikaelson."

"On my way dear."

"Who's this Niklaus?" questions Sam cautiously and Gabbie swallows knowing they won't like the answer.

"A vampire from where I am from."

"What!" everyone explodes and she cringes before holding up her hand.

"Look he won't do anything I don't approve of... I'm kinda like a sister to him. Just trust me please." They all sigh and she smiles wearily. "Thank you. Now where's Jake?"

"At his house. He is going through the worst part of post transformation-"

"Well post first transformation." Embry cuts off Sam and sends him a sheepish smile when the alpha sends him a glare.

"Poor boy. He seemed so sweet."

"He is." Embry says smiling sadly. "He was my best friend before these dicks came into the picture." He begins to wrestle with Paul, a smile on both their faces causing Gabbie to laugh.

An urgent knock cuts off the joking in the house and Sam lets out a growl before walking over to the door. He sends Gabbie a look before opening the door to see three figures standing on his porch; he quickly hides Emily behind him and glares at the intruding figures. The blonde is smirking while looking at her fingernails in mock interest while the brunette has a worried look on his noble face. The last, the blonde with curly hair, looks impatient and glares at the three wolves and the luna.

"Let us in." Klaus barks out and Sam looks at him confused.

"Sam you have to invite them in." comes Gabbie's weak reply and the worry in both men's eyes worsen.

"Come on in." tensely says Sam and the three quickly glide in and rush gracefully over to the scarred witch.

"A werewolf." comments Elijah, inspecting the marks. "At close quarters to have caused this much damage."
