Chapter4:

Grace's POV

A LOT of things went wacky on the way to wherever we were going to.

For starters, we were passing Central Parkway when we saw the most gorgeous woman in a plain white t shirt and blue jeans. I can't really make out her features but she seems to just get prettier and pettier.

At first, the only real way I can explain it, is that she looked like Elsa. But after the New York sightseeing tour bus passed in front of her, she was replaced with a woman that looked as the striking resemblance of me. She has the same features so I can TELL that it's the same woman.

I looked over at Elsa and she did the same, I just KNEW that we were thinking the same thing! We both mouthed "What the Heck" before quickly turning away as Dad glanced at us at the back seat.

"Dad, I know I shouldn't be asking this, but could you please just tell us what's going on with the 'daughters of Aphrodite' and all that?" I asked.

I don't mean to sound furious but I was! Along with the 100 other feelings that I felt. One of the top three were disbelif. How could dad marry a GODDESS and not tell us that we are mini goddesses. Ugh, I guess that makes us Demi-gods.

Dad use to always tell us that Greek mythology is very important in the Petrova family. So every Friday, we had 'Greek School'. Dad always went off topic so we would just sit and he would tell us stories about things that happened or Greek prophecies and legends. I remember one about how sometimes gods and goddesses would come to earth in their 'minor' form and 'hook-up' with humans. Therefore, theirs these people called 'Demigods'.

"Dad, please, do you remember anything, anything at ALL about Mum?" Elsa asked. For a second, I thought she was going to cry, her voice was pleading and begging. I know Elsa used to cry herself to sleep whenever one of our friends said something about our mother. I know she puts on a strong face, but in reality she is scared that mom left us because she didn't want us. I know this because I feel the same way.

"Your mother was a smart, funny and generous women, she was insanely pretty and unbelievably kind, she had a way of seeing the beauty in everyone, even those beyond help. Your mother was Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. I'm sorry girls, but your mother will explain the rest. Or I might tell you.. if I have the heart to" He mumbled the last part. I just sat there, shocked, no words could come out of my mouth no matter how hard I tried.
