A low rumble came from the sky as we walked. "Thunder?" I questioned as I gazed up. "Can't be. That's impossible!" Peter replied with certainty. "It's never stormed here." He added. "At least not while you're around." A lost boys spoke up. "What?" Peter asked in non-belief. A lost boy, the fox, sighed. "Whenever you leave, Peter, the weather always goes weirdo! Us lost boys hate it." Peter gave a burdened sigh. "I'm sorry. I never knew, no one ever told me."The lost boys smiled and crowded around their leader. "It's okay Peter!" One cheered. "Ya you're still a great chief!" Another added as they all hugged him. I couldn't help but smile at the sight. But our happiness was short lived when the thunder boomed once more, this time louder. "We should probably get back to hangman tree." I said, breaking up the huddle of children. "That's a good idea. Let's go." Peter announced. It wasn't too far of a journey and we arrived after about half an hour. Peter was even starting to gain a little strength back so he could fly. It was a reassuring sight to see him soar through the air once more. Once we reached the tree we all went in through the secret hatches and nestled in our little hammocks. There was no story tonight, for everyone was so tired and on edge from the events from earlier. The lost boys had finally fallen asleep I snuck over to Peter. "Pst! Peter! Are you awake?" I whispered into the boy's ear. He sighed before he rolled over to face me. "Yep. I am now." "Oops. Sorry." He gave a smile and a meek little giggle. "It's fine I wasn't really in a deep sleep anyways. So what's up Elyse?" He asked me. "Do you really think we, or you I guess, will be able to save Neverland?" I asked. "Why do you ask?" "Well our efforts so far have been failing..." "then we will try harder and why are you and Tink so convinced I am the one to save Neverland?" "Tink? She's been talking about it too huh?" "Since we left the Indians she hasn't hushed about it since." I gave a small laugh. I envied Tinkerbell's determination. "Honestly I think you're the one to save Neverland. You believe like no other, remember? And there's got to be some reason my shadow chose you to come here with me." I sighed. That night seemed like years ago, yet I still remembered it as clear as day. "But I'm just a girl from New York. I'm nothing special." "Oh yes you are. If there's one thing I've learned from you it's that you're anything but just a plain old girl."
