Felo-de-se

Saw her,
Many nights ago.
Fell in love,
With her calmness.

In the middle of a hurricane,
While her world came crashing.
She stood.

She frolicked,
To the sound of drowning screams.
Thinking it was her hum,
She danced without mercy.

She smelt the air,
The petrichor surrounding her.
She was high,
On the waves that drowned her.

Not a peep,
Out of her.
Her carousel dress,
It screamed the real.

Her sheer existence,
Made planets swoon.
Her singular laugh,
It made gods swoon.

She was a whole being.

Her eyes,
Oh so pretty.
A dark brown,
With a dark hint of a secret.

Her hair,
Like the wave itself.
Never ending and colossal.

Her lips,
The greatest gift to mankind.
She kissed like,
The ocean does the shore.

Herself,
Beautiful in my eyes.
A creature so worth staring at,
You felt accomplished later.

That was before.

The wave came down,
It swallowed her head first.

No reaction.

It picked her up,
Threw her across the lands.

Smile vanished.

She swam in uncertainty,
Was she dead?
Her hair flowing as though not.

Suffocation for eternity,
For the first time,
She feared,
For her life.

Inaudible laugh.

Her family long gone.
Left by herself.

She wished for a hand to hold.

There I was.
New to the land.

My first and only friend.
