It was a bright , warm August afternoon and the clocks where striking 8:00 am. It was a Monday .Everyone hates Monday's but I love them , it's the beginning of a new week , you can change or start something new. But I didn't like change I loved my life being simple. I didn't want to change any time soon. I worked at a firm , where I was lawyer. I loved it , I could argue with people all day and get bad people locked away. I glanced at my clock 8:04 am. "Ughhh , it's too early" I moan , i mean I may love my job but I'm not a morning person.
I hop of my bed , and jump up due to the cold tile floor, I run and put on my slippers. I walk into my kitchen and make myself a latte. I go and get ready while it's in the machine. I pick out my outfit and bring it with me in the bathroom. I quickly hop in the shower backing away as I turn the water on , bracing myself for the icy liquid, after about 10 seconds it starts to warm up.
After I completely lather myself in my soap I wash it of and wrap my towel around my body. I dry myself thoroughly and start getting dressed. After I have finished I do my hair . I take out my straighteners from the drawer and straighten my hair . After doing so I look in the mirror to make sure I look presentable. "Hey girl , you looking fine for a lawyer" I say to the reflection . Winking at myself. Oh please god , no I resorted to talking to my self now. I take one last glance before nodding my head and walking out the bathroom.

I go to the kitchen and bring the latte to my lips and drink it hesitantly, the hot substance goes down my throat. I look on my watch. "Ohh shit" I say putting my latte back on the work top , I get my bag and car keys and leave as quickly as I could without tripping over.
I unlock my car and jump into drivers seat. I start my engine and plug my phone into the charger and play IDGAF by Dua Lipa. I sing my heart out as I drive to work.
Once I get there I park my car , turn the engine off , grab my phone and walk into the building. I glance at my watch 9:57 yes 3 minuets to spare. I greet Darcy at the desk.
"Hey gurl" I say as I wave "Hey Paige" she says not removing her eyes from her computer. She waves and smiles.
I walk to my office. And sit down in my spinny chair. My boss walks in with a load of files.
"Hey Paige" he says winking. He Walks over to my desk and places the files on my desk and his hand on my shoulder.
"Hey Nathan" I say with a slight smile. Brushing his hand of my shoulder. "Paige , can I ask you a question" he says. "Yeah sure , go ahead." I say motioning my arms for him to speak. "Have you ever fucked in a office?" He says grinning like mad. I don't say anything I'm just shocked. "N..no" I say trying not to make eye contact but he moves my head so it's level with his. His hand start to go up my shirt but he pulls something off his finger and puts it in his pocket . Damn it was a wedding ring. "Ugh , I need the bathroom" I blurt out "of course you do" he sighs removing his hand from my shirt . I stand up straighten my shirt out and skip to the toilet.
I walked in and saw a girl , she was crying. I walked up to her ."Hey , are you okay" I say rubbing her back. "Do I fucking look okay" she shouts. And storms out, she had a visitor badge on , she must be a client.
I stare in the mirror and apply some lip stick I sigh and walk back out. My perv boss Nathan is standing there with his arms crossed. "Paige we have a meeting in 5 mins be there" he says bluntly and walks away. I see his wedding ring is back on "ha , okay" I say he turns his head around and carries on walking.
I enter the meetings room and there's police men everywhere, there's security with guns and walkie talkies in hand. I eaves drop and there's talk about a gang leader had been captured and they need one of us to go against him on court. Apparently something about not having enough evidence against him.
I sit down in the chair and Nathan walks in and motions everyone to sit down. " so we have a case, it's against a criminal who needs to be put behind bars" he says "we need our best lawyers to be on this one, it's gonna be tough but with the right people we can do it." He continues "the woman on your side is Julian she was abducted by him and now she wants him in prison" he pauses and looks at us. "Anyone want to be in this case?" He asks as I thought no one out there hand up. "Okay so I'll guys I'll choose" he says "Paige" "Kaydi" "Leo" "And me" He says.
Great , just fucking great. The other girls sigh too. I on a fucking psycho case with mr asshole who cheats on his wife.
"Hey , I'm Paige" I greet the other girls. "Hiii I'm leo" "Heya I'm kaydi" "I can't believe we got put in this case it's just so much effort" I say and laugh putting my head down on the desk. "Tell me about it" says kaydi. "Ohh great here comes mr pervert" says Leo "Wait he's hit on you too" I whisper and turning towards her, "Yer he always comes into my office and want to fuck , but I always say no thanks I'm happy with my boyfriend kian, whatever I say he never gets the message" she says stopping , I look up and see Nathan approaching the table.
