Fourteen

A group of paramedics come rushing over , I didn't let go of Ethan's hand. It was cold . I started to feel dizzy when a familiar voice rang in my ears , she tapped on my shoulder. "Paige , omg are you okay!" It was kaydi , she hugged me , she looked beautiful I wanted to compliment her but the words wouldn't come out. I was in a state of shock.

They took Ethan on the stretcher in a matter of no time , and apparently because I wasn't his family I wasn't aloud in the ambulance. I was shaking and I couldn't move. "K...kaydi , can you drive me to the hospital?" I ask "I don't have a car" I say because it was recently. Blown the fuck up!!!
"Or course" she said she helped me up and guided me to the car.

She kept up with the ambulance as best as possible , I still had the shopping backs around my wrists. I started crying at the memories me and Ethan.
"Don't cry he'll be okay." She said reassuring me rubbing my shoulder.

When we got to the hospital , me and kaydi ran up to the desk "E...Ethan d...Dolan" I finally managed to say.

"Room 233 , there operating at the minute he's in critical condition." She says I didn't even care I just ran to room 234 no it was room 233! Kaydi has trouble keeping up with me she was wearing high heels , but the clicking of them let me know that she was still behind me. When I got there I was out of breath I'm a god damn lawyer not an athlete.

I looked through the window , Ethan's lifeless body was laying there. "Ethan please don't leave me!" I was banging on the glass , the nurse closed the curtains.

Kaydi took me away from the window and sat me down on the waiting room chairs . I brung my hands up to my face "please god , don't take him , he's too young , to innocent he has to much to live for ,please don't, not yet." I was praying to god that he wouldn't gain another angel just yet.

Kaydi was tapping me on the shoulder. "Paige ,Paige , the nurse is here" I shot my head up , I swear I have whiplash.
"I'm here regarding Mr E Dolan." She said "Well I'm afraid they had to put him in an induced coma , which basically means we have shut his body down so he can recharge" she says with reassuring eyes.

"Will he make it?" I say turning towards Kaydi , she puts one arm around me and holds my hand. Squeezing it. The nurse looks at me. "It's too early to tell." She says . She's lying I know she is.

After 4 hours I'm finally aloud to go in , kaydi says she'll wait outside , but I needed her , I grabbed her hand and we walked in together my whole body shaking. I see him , he's so lifeless , so drained. He hasn't got any colour in his face , which is normally tanned , with a hint of rose in his cheeks, his hair has grubble in it and dirt. His hands , there covered in cuts and bruises , just like his face and chest.

Me and kaydi sit there for hours just talking . I told her the whole story about Grayson and liv and how I need to be in the run from him. I fucking bet he did this ! I'm going to kill him. I asked about Leo , kaydi said that her and kian are fine and that Nate and herself have recently got engaged. I was happy for them but the whole time we was talking all I could think about Ethan.

It was 3:00 am and kaydis asleep on a made up bed. I've interlocked Ethan's fingers with mine and I have been talking to him , Even though he can't here me or see me or feel me , he's still here and I feel safe. It was 5:00am and I heard a beeping sound , I got up and it was The machine connected to Ethan. It was beeping like mad all of a sudden I heard the dreaded noise

I ran and found the doctors kaydi is wide awake too. "He's going into cardiac arrest" said one of the doctors they ushered us outside.

After 2 long hours a perky nurse can out with a clipboard. "I'm sorry" she said "there's only a 10% that Ethan will survive" she says , she clears her throat and walks away.
