it was raining. hard. kunpimook didn't expect it to start raining, he thought the weather was supposed to be sunny for most of the weekend. but he thought wrong, so here he was, no umbrella, standing in the pouring rain. "fuck," he mumbled, looking around to see if there was any awnings he could stand under. there was none.

"im so fucking lucky," he said, rolling his eyes. he started walking, hands shoved in his sweatpants pockets.

"bam!" an odd voice called out, kunpimook whipped around. there, a few feet away from him, stood kim yugyeom. yugyeom smiled, running towards the other, umbrella in his hand. "what are you doing out in the rain?" he asked, standing next to kunpimook and bringing the umbrella up so it covered them both. due to how small the umbrella covering was, they had to be in quite close proximity.

"i-i could ask you the s-same question."

"aw, is bammie nervous around me? don't be, we're friends," yugyeom said nonchalantly, throwing his arm over the shorter one's shoulders.

"friends?"

"yes, friends. unless you want to be more than that," yugyeom responded, smirking slightly.

"no."

"well, alright."

"what? do you like me or something?" kunpimook asked, laughing lightly at how silly the idea of yugyeom liking him was. yugyeom blushes slightly, bringing his hand up to his face.

"no? what? that's ridiculous, how could you ever think that?" but deep down, kunpimook really hoped that yugyeom did like him.

-

"this is my stop," kunpimook said, looking towards his house. before he could walk away, yugyeom had already grabbed onto his wrist and spun him back towards him.

"can we hang out? we've been texting for so long, it'd be nice to like chill," he said. kunpimook thought about it, trying to find some excuse to try and get him away, but he had none. so he shrugged and nodded his head.

walking towards his door, he turned to see if yugyeom was following him. "coming?" he asked, looking at the boy who was still stood at the end of the walkway.

"yeah," he mumbled, jogging to catch up with the latter.

bam pushed open his front door and started to take off his shoes. "um, just set your shoes on the shoe rack so they can dry." he told yugyeom, who only nodded and walked over to where the shoe rack was.

"hey mom, my friend is gonna hang out here for a while. if that's fine?"

"is it youngjae? you don't have to ask if he can stay."

"no, um his name is yugyeom."

upon hearing his name, yugyeom moved so he could be seen by mrs. bhuwakul. "oh! well, hello yugyeom. it's nice to meet you," she said, smiling brightly.

"pleasure to meet you too, mrs. bhuwakul."

"oh, please. just call me kochakorn," she said, running her hands over the back of the couch.

-

"what's your favorite color?"

"what the fuck."

"what is it?" yugyeom rolled onto his stomach, looking over at the boy sat on the couch. they were currently in kunpimook's room, asking random questions.

"red."

"mine's green."

"did i ask?" bam responded, laughing lightly.

"no, but i just thought you would want to know."

"i was kidding," he said, moving to stand up.

"oh, where you going?"

"to come lay down? are you staying the night?"

"i really don't want to go home," yugyeom said, frowning. yugyeom had family issues, it wasn't terrible but he really didn't enjoy being called a faggot every time he left his room. he knew that he could try and tell him that he wasn't completely gay, but they never listened.

"why?"

"family issues," he mumbled, its not that he didn't want to tell kunpimook, if anything it was the compete opposite. but, he didn't want kunpimook to act like he was just being stupid and that the problem was insignificant, because that's what everyone else did.

"like?"

"they call me a faggot all the fucking time! okay? now you can laugh."

"why the hell would i laugh?"

"everyone else does."

"what do you mean?" bam frowned, scooting closer to the older boy. his hand inched towards the others, but he stopped. he knew it was wrong and they're friends.

"whenever ive told my friends about my family talking shit about me they just say it could be worse and that it's not that bad."

"but it obviously makes you upset, so it's a problem. don't think that just because your problems seem less compared to others, that it doesn't mean they're not important or need to be taken care of."

yugyeom sighed, sitting up.

"c'mere," bam mumbled, opening up his arms. yugyeom looked taken aback but soon fell against the other, wrapping his arms around his back. "ill always be here for you, no matter what."

"really?"

"yes."

"thank you."
