A Mile Away

Family

"Mommy!!!" Were the sounds that filled the café. Little foot thuds also filled the place. "Mommy!!! Ken won't play fair!" I heard my son comoplain about his brother. "I told Tamaki sorry!" Replied Ken.
It had been 5 years since the day Kaneki proposed. Ken was now 5 ,and he had a brother named Tamaki who is now 4. Though ,Kaneki and I were married ;he still left to travel. The reason for this was for he could keep our family safe. The last time we heard from his was when Tamaki was still a newborn. Who on earth knows where he is.
"Tamaki ,Ken... Play nice. For mommy?" I asked the kids. "Ok mommy!!!" They shouted. Hinami laughed at the sight. Tamaki had black hair just like Kaneki when he was a human. Though ,the thought of me losing them was just a nightmare. U started humming as we were prepared to open the shop ,when suddenly we noticed coffe in a mug started shaking. Out of no where ,the windows broke ;and ghouls came in.
      One had brown hair ,wearing a monkey mask. While the other had blue hair wearing a tiger mask. I saw the brown hair stare at the kids and did a "tsk" sound. While the blue haired one just stared at me. Me and Hinami were the only ones at the cafe today since everybody wanted a break.
       The brown one grabbed the kids and stabbed Hinami in the stomach. She clenched her stomach and fell on the ground. Meanwhile ,the blue haired grabbed me and pulled a knife to my throat. I wanted to scream and save my kids. "Mommy!!! Help!!!" I heard them scream. I felt hopeless and a tear ran down my cheek.
         Suddenly another ghoul came through the window. My eyes widened when I saw who it was. "K... Kaneki!!!" I yelled. Without a second ,everything turned black.
Kaneki's Pov
      The sight filled me with fear. They stabbed Touka in both arms and knocked her out. I suddenly heard 2 kids crying out loud. I turned and saw them being hold hostage. Hinami was also on the ground hurt. The kids were none other than my sons. "BASTARD!!! LET MY FAMILY GO!!!" I yelled as my kagune started appearing. The blue haired one looked terrified ,but still tried to fight back.
       He threw a couple of punches ,but I doged them. His face was full of fear as I punched him straight in the face. My punch was to strong that it squished his face ,and killed him. The brown haired one let go of my kids and started to run away. This time I letted him escape ,but next time I won't. I looked at the kids who seemed terrified of me.
       Heh... Guess I would be the same if I saw my dad kill someone. I left the frown on and rushed to Toaka. "Toaluka!!! Hime ,please wake up!!!" I said as I carried Touka in bridal style ,and took her to the back of the Cafe. The children followed. I layed Toaka on a bed ,and got Hinami and layed her on a couch.
      I knelt down beside Toaka and grabbed her hand. I kissed it softly ,and then turned to the kids."Please don't hurt us mister!!!!" Said Tamaki. "If you wanna hurt anyone of us ,it should be me!!! Not my little brother ,please take me instead!!!" Said Ken.
       I laughed at there sudden request and replied "Sure... I'll take you both". They both looked scared until Toaka woke up. A huge smile reappeared on their faces at the sight of there mother waking up. "Mommy! This bad man wants to take me and Ken!!!" Said Tamaki. Touka starred at me and smiled. "Please take them mister!" Toaluka said laughing. All of a sudden Tamaki and Ken started crying. "Don't cry... Daddy's here to protect y'all." I said with a smile on my face.
        They wiped their tears and starred at me. "D..d... Daddy!?!" Said Tamaki. Ken just starred at me with wide eyes. "Ken... Tamaki... I want you to meet your daddy!" Said Touka. They both jumped on me while yelling "Daddy". I suddenly realized what I missed all these years. I missed my family's happiness. I missed my childrens first steps ,and first words. I missed a lot of stuff. I was to busy being happy ,that I didn't notice that I was crying. "Daddy loves you! And will always protect you!" I cried. I had always dreamt of having a family. I was to busy trying to keep Toaka safe ,that I didn't notice I already had a family with her. A wife ,and 2 brave and joyful sons. My own family ,one that I created.
      The family that I hoped and dreamed for. A women to love me ,and 2 kids who are always happy. The family that I was pushing away. The family that I had 2 kids growing up without their father. I was making them suffer without me. The family that I pushed away ,is now the family that I love ;and will always love. I vow to protect them and will sacrafice my life and soul for them. Even if it meant I had to die. Then Hinami woked up from being knocked out.
       She looked up and saw me. Her eyes widened at the sight of Touka smiling while looking at me ,with the kids all huddled around me. A tear dropped from Hinami's face. I bet that it was a tear of joy! One that will be hard to forget. One that will have a special memory for. The memory of the day that I decided to stay and help raise my kids with Touka...
Its not finished yet!!!! There still more! Its just that i've been busy with school and playing a Bts game. Also with my friends on Roblox... Heh... Sorry.... Next chapter will probaley be out who knows when? Next week probably or tomorrow? It'll be out though... Hope soon!!!
