People say life is a game of chess.
I am a pawn,
Who wishes he was a king.
You are a queen,
Who thinks she is a pawn.
And ultimately,
I want to be your knight,
Your protector.
But conversely,
You have the walls of a rook,
To protect yourself.
I want to be a bishop,
Because you are my religion.
But you don't care.
A queen could never love a pawn.
Suddenly,
I learn the queen could.
But only if the game is played right.
Love is a war of strategy.
Chess is a game of deception.
The queen is beside the pawn proclaiming king.
The roles are broken.
Checkmate?
Stalemate?
Either way.
I lose.
