Chapter 4

Addison woke up to a morning rain. It drizzled down the window. For once in Addison's life Seabrook wasn't perfect and sunny. It was her mood dull and boring.

On the other side of town Zed had just woken up and was restless too. He had about the same dream as Addison. So close to kiss her and then it ended. Why?

"Stupid Xander had to take her first kiss. I am going to kill him," Zed mumbled in anger.

"Zed come downstairs and eat your breakfast," Zevon shouted to him.

"Not hungry!" Zed screamed back.

"Zed please come down," Zoey said in her fake innocent voice, "Puppy misses you."

"The dog will live if I don't come down," Zed yelled back annoyed.

Zed finally decided to walk down the stairs with a grumble still thinking about Addison.

Addison got to school full of stirred up emotions that she wanted to release out but couldn't. For even though humans excepted the non-ordinary they still were judgy. Sometimes Addison put on her wig for cheer rallies so that people wouldn't look at her funny. She rushed to cheer practice because Bucky had commanded an early cheer session in the morning.

"Alright everyone get in a group and listen up! Today we have a new cheerleader joining us," Bucky ordered as everyone murmured wondering who it was.

"He came all the way from the other side of the world, I think, welcome Xander!" Bucky shouted with jazz hands.

Xander walked in with a smile looking at Addison as everyone applauded.

"Okay everyone. Shut up! Bucky had been working on a new arrangement for us. Pay attention closely and get into partners," Stacy yelled for everyone to hear.

Addison was about to ask Bree but before she could say anything Xander grabbed her arm and said, "Will you please be my partner Addy I don't know anyone else."
Addison sighed and replied, "Sure."

"Okay everyone with your partner, one person lift the other into the air. As the person is in the air the other person will do a backflip and then catch the other person," Tracy said now doing it with her partner.

"Okay ready? You lift me into the air and please catch me," Addison said as she was in the position to jump into the air.

"Okay," Xander said in the lifting position.

Xander lifted her into the air and did a backflip. Xander stumbled on his landing while Addison began to whirl to the ground.

"Xander! Catch me!" Addison screamed.

"Cous, I'm coming!" Bucky yelled back trying to catch Addison.

It was a blur but Xander did catch her on time but Bucky stood there boiling mad at Xander.

"Your off the team! Get out!" Bucky commanded pointing at the door.

"Why I caught Addy?" Xander replied back still holding Addison in his arms.

"You almost didn't catch her. Strike one. I swear if you mess up again you are gone," Bucky replied back still in fury.

Xander was my still holding Addison in his arms said, "Can we finish what we were doing yesterday?"

"I um..." Addison mumbled as Xander held Addison close to her face.

Xander so close about to kiss her but then Stacy yelled, "Practice is over. Bucky is too upset to move on, so be here the same time tomorrow."

Xander dropped Addison startled by Stacy but then took her hand and picked her up.

"Sorry about that, maybe Bucky was right, I think I should just leave the team," Xander said in a mild tone.

"Please don't leave," Addison touched his arm making Xander's arm full of goosebumps, "We need you on the team."

"Only for you Addy," Xander said kissing her slightly on the cheek making Addison blush.
