Chapter 9

Addison woke up in the hospital with Zed by her bedside asleep. She woke up dazed and exhausted. She heard Zed wake up and looked up at him confused.

"Addison, your awake," Zed says with a smile. He touches her hand and she pulls away.

"What who are you? What am I doing here? Get away from me!" Addison said looking scared.

"Addison it's me Zed. The zombie you fell in love with last year. Your a cheerleader and attend Seabrook High School. I'm your boyfriend," Zed says dropping her hand.

"I remember Seabrook not you. Get away from me!" Addison shouts that now the doctors rush in.

The doctors come in and excused Zed as they calmed her down.

"What's going on?" Bucky asks concerned.

"She doesn't remember me," Zed says taking a seat.

"What? That doesn't make any sense," Bucky replies perplexed.

"She told me to go away. Bucky what if she has forgotten everyone," Zed says with tears in his eyes.

A doctor comes out and begins to speak to Zed and everyone else.

"Addison had such a hard hit to her head she has seem to forgotten everything in the past year. I told her mostly everything but she is going act different. You need to be calm with her. If she doesn't remember you just let her think. Everything will be fine."

Will it be though? What if Addison doesn't know me anymore? Calm down Zed she'll be fine.

Addison walked out to the area they were at and she immediately darted to her parents. They embraced her and then she went to Bucky and stopped at Zed.

"I know you said I know you but can we just handshake for now?" Addison asked holding out her hand.

"Sure, Zed said holding back tears.

They shook hands and Addison went back to her room to gather her things and then walked out the door of the hospital. Bucky stayed behind with Zed and took a sigh.

Addison plopped on her bed and took a breath. A million things were racing threw her mind like a rollercoaster that would never end.

Why can't I remember who that guy was? He's a zombie, and he says I know him. I can't believe Bucky likes him he hates zombies. I need to figure this all out.

The doorbell rang and she heard her parents open the door to reveal Eliza and Bonzo with a bouquet of lilies.

"Thank you so much Addison will greatly appreciate them," Addison's mom said with a smile.

"May we see her?" Eliza asked making sure the door didn't shut the door just yet.

"She needs her rest the doctor says so I wouldn't want to disturb her," Addison's father responded back.

"Well tell her we were here," Eliza said waving goodbye as Bonzo and Eliza walked away from the door.

Addison's parents waved back and then shut the door. Addison's mother threw away the flowers in the trash and looked up at her husband.

"Addison not remembering anything is a new start for her. We need to make sure she doesn't even get close to the zombies. We can get this plan if we do it right. She will return back to cheer and I think I've found a suitable boyfriend for her," Addison's mother said with a devious smirk.
