Z-O-M-B-I-E-S: A New Beginning

Chapter 8

"Wait what? Me off the team?" Zed said in shock.

"For doing what you just did to a student that had no attention in hurting you I have to kick you off the team," the coach said in disappointment.

"I..." Zed didn't even finished his sentence before the coach pointed to the locker rooms and he walked away.

As he was in the locker room he heard a girls' voice speaking.

"So we agreed today Addison will get "accidentally"dropped when she is thrown in the air at the pep rally?" Lacy said in a hiss.

He saw her walk out and knew he had to warn Addison before she got hurt.

The bell rung and she headed to the gym to get ready for the prep rally that was this afternoon. As she walked there she thought about her plan.

What if it goes wrong? Zed might get worried. No just calm down Addison. Shut up mind Zed is coming this way!

"Hey Zed," Addison said trying to act cheerful.

"Hey Addison I have to tell you something like right now," Zed said with alertness.

"What?" Addison said with a scared look in her eyes.

"Well, I think Lacy is going to to make sure you get dropped at the prep rally today," Zed said as Addison face turned red with anger.

"I wouldn't be surprised if she did," Addison muttered crossing her arms.

"Addison please don't get injured. If you got hurt I would feel sick to my stomach," Zed said getting closer to Addison face.

Addison gently planted a kiss on Zed's cheek and said, "I'll be fine. Besides if anything goes wrong Bucky will be there."

She strolled to the gym to get ready for the prep rally as Zed stood there still not convinced that she was safe.

"Bucky," Addison said to her cousin taking him by surprised, "I think that Lacey is planning to drop me today when I am lifted into the air on accident."

Bucky looked at her in disbelif and said,"That can't be true, even though Lacey may be out to get you that doesn't mean she would risk your life for revenge."

"Oh really that why did Zed tell me that he heard her talking about it in the boy's locker room," Addison shot back.

"Look I'll keep an eye on her and for now, Xander will catch you not Alex," Bucky said now heading towards the other cheerleaders.

Out of nowhere someone whispered in her ear, "I forgive you Addy let me catch you."

Well that was the cheesiest thing I've ever heard.

"Xander just catch me this time. Okay?" Addison said looking at him straight in the eyes.

Everyone began to file into the bleachers including Zed. Addison went into her position and took a deep breath.

The music began to and Addison did a perfect back flip. (Watch video above) She landed with a smile on her face as the crowd cheered. The Acey's did a little routine with Bucky landing in the middle of them. Now came the tossing in the air. 

Lacey began to walk over towards Addison with a devious smile and got in her position. Addison stood there not knowing what she was going to do.

Addison was hoisted into the air and did a twirl, then began to fall. She looked down and saw that no one was there not even Xander. He was doing back flips with Lacey. 

So that was her plan, she would get Xander distracted and then I would fall to my death. Zed please help me.

Addison began to fall and fall into suddenly Bucky, Xander, and Zed all rushed towards her. Zed leaped out of his seat and darted to Addison to save her once more. But in a flash Addison landed on her back frozen on the gym floor. The audience gasped as Zed bolted towards her knowing she was not okay.

"Addison talk to me," Zed said now kneeling beside her.

"Zed I can't feel my back, I can't get up," Addison said looking at him with her scared eyes.

Xander and Bucky were now standing there trying to observe the situation. 

"Okay cous', we called the ambulance and there coming. I'm going to try to carry you," Bucky said with tears in his eyes.

Addison nodded as Zed and Bucky lifted her with their arms looking concerned for Addison. Even Lacey looked mortified at what happened to Addison, while Xander went up to Addison as she was being carried.

"Addy, I'm so sorry. I got distracted with Lacey, and I'm just so sorry. I hope you feel better," Xander said while holding her hands.

Addison had no words and then she heard the sirens bellowing outside of the gym. She was carried into the ambulance and the doors shut while everyone stood there in shock of what happened.
