Chapter 6

Addison bolted back to the safe room still thinking about what Lacey said. She entered back into the safe room. She sat down by Zed and shoved some pretzels in her mouth.

"You okay?" Eliza says looking worried.

"Fine," Addison said wiping her mouth.

The bell ring and everyone left the safe room wishing the time would not have ended.

Addison sat down in her class, put her hand in a fist motion, and slumped in onto her cheek. She looked bored with her life and took a sigh.

Suddenly an announcement came blaring from intercom.

"Hello students this is your principal with some exciting news. We are going to have a masquerade ball! It will be next week on Friday at 7. I hope you can all come! Have a wonderful day!"

Everyone murmured with excitement about the ball. Addison smiled a bit thinking that she would go with Zed. Xander stood at the door with Lacey by his side. She was a clinger all right. Every word Xander said seemed like the most interesting thing I the world. Not that Addison was jealous. After what he did to her Addison wanted to punch him in the face.

"Addy! How are you?" Xander said with a grin.

"Stop calling me Addy first of all. Second I have something for you," Addison said with a fake smile.

"Oh what is it? I do love gifts," Xander said with joy.

At that moment Addison didn't know what she was thinking but she slapped him. Whap! Right across his left cheek leaving it red.

Xander rubbed his cheek and looked at her and said, "What the heck was that for?"

"Oh I don't know," Addison yelled and the room got quiet, "You stole my first kiss, are annoying, and kissed me again in a closet."

Addison thought for a moment and then shouted again.

"Oh and another thing, your little girlfriend Lacy has been giving me threats too. I am done with your dumb charm, smile and your whole face on that matter. It deserves to have a flaw on it You little bastard!"

Xander has no reaction to what she said as everyone else was shocked just as much as he was. For Addison just had basically screamed as Xander for being the foolish young man.

"You don't mean Addy. No matter what anyone says I will forever love you," Xander said going in for a kiss.

He was interrupted by the teacher walking in.

Then Lacey, like a tattle taler in kindergarten, said, "Addison slapped Xander across the face."

She pointed to his face showing the teacher as she looked at Addison with a perplexed face.

"Addison did this?" the teacher said still not believing what she heard.

"It's true. She slapped him for no reason," Lacey replied.

"No reason why you..." Addison was about  to finish her sentence but the teacher put her index finger at her saying to be quiet.

"I'm sorry Addison but if you please escort yourself principal's office," the teacher said as Addison looked furious.

"But... Mrs. Robison!"

"No buts," Mrs. Robison took at pause, "Lacey please take Xander to the nurse's office."

Addison got up stomped out of the room and went to the principals office not satisfied (Hamilton reference. If you are a fan of Hamilton comment below!) with what the teacher had said.
