"I couldn't do anything," was all Kaneki could think, it was the only sentence that ran through his mind. After last nights occurrences it was pretty reasonable to blame yourself for not standing up to save a life. Even though he was told he did the right think of protecting the young brown haired girl but, he couldn't just accept it. The scene kept replaying in his mind over and over as he watched the mother of Hinami get torn to shreds by the men with the suitcases. While Kaneki watched the scene in horror Y/N watched the scene not feeling anything, it barley even amused her.

The young girl suffering from the loss of her mother decided to run away from her problems physically and mentally. Her frail figure ran down into a gigantic sewer for she deemed it a secluded area no one would find her in. The girl came to a sudden stop when she laid her eyes on a questionable bag laying in the middle of the sewer. As they say curiosity killed the cat, and the girl opened the bag to see her mother torn in several pieces being held in the bag. A terrifying scream erupted from her growing lungs as she fell to the ground with the bag loosely laying in her lap.

"Hinami!" Touka's voice echoed through the sewer which made Hinami's small head look up to her to show her tear-filled face. "What's wrong?" The teen asked impatiently because she was beyond worried for the girl. The teen then laid her eyes on the bag that young girl was holding closely. "What's that?" Touka asked in a shaky voice for she was scared of the contents. "Mom," Hinami said very quietly as she began to sob into the bag. The teen looked horrified and all her anger then turned upon the ghoul investigator who walked into the scene at a perfect time.

Y/N sat a top a fence as she looked down below to watch Kaneki fight a ghoul investigator. She didn't even care if she was seen by them she'd either leave or ignore their questions. All Kaneki was trying to do was to delay the investigator of reaching Touka and Hinami. While the investigator was trying to reach his partner to give him support. The fight was leading towards the investigator's win until Kaneki took out his Kagune. Kaneki was giving his all to not eat the man in front of him even by telling the man to flee which made Y/N chuckle out of amusement.

This chuckle caught the attention of the two and they glanced toward Y/n who casually looked back at them. "Problem?" Y/N asked as if she wasn't being rude by watching them duel. The two just stood there silent for the two of them both recognized her and they didn't know what to say. "Oh! Do I have to pay to watch the show or somthin'?" Y/N asked them mainly as a joke.
