Chapter 2

The young boy tried his best to eat the food that was provided to him by a nurse that was assigned to his room. But, the new blood that was running through his system did not belong to his body making him no longer human, but a ghoul. Although the boy has yet to put the pieces together. So he continued his efforts in vain to eat the plate of salmon. He only had two bites and he gave up on this act that would only cause his new body damage. Upon hearing the door to his room creak open the boy hid under the covers to limit the chances of confrontation with the nurse who was currently entering the room.

A few minutes after the nurse left the door opened once more to the boy's displeasure. The man who walked in was the doctor who had just caused this boy to change into a being his kind feared most. Yet the doctor had full awareness of what he had just done to the boy, but he put up an act to not reveal himself to his first successful subject. The doctor spoke to the boy leaving out information of being a ghoul of course, but included the part of transferring his attacker's organs into his body.

The young demon walked with an innocent skip in her step currently going through one of the several alleyways in this city with no care in the world. A suspicious man then approached the girl breathing heavily while drool slowly dripped over his chapped lips and down his chin. "You're the tastiest person I have ever smelt," the hooded man said coming up from behind the girl. The demon turned around to face the ghoul, "Oh how nice of you to say that," the girl said with a fake smile plastered on her face. The man stumbled back momentarily flustered that the young teen before him had not one single drop of fear in her system but, he recovered seeing her frail figure.

Before the man could make any moves a perfectly polished knife flew at an extremely fast speed toward his forehead. "Oh~?" The girl said watching the knife not even cut into the man's skin but, drop to the ground instead. The man only seemed started at the knife's appearance but regained confidence in himself only seconds later. The man's face now held a smile as a pair of flaming wings escaped out from the skin of his back. The girls eyes widened in amazement before she smirked in amusement, "I like this place," she mumbled out her words not coming out in the register that the man in front of her could hear.

After the man took out his secret weapon of his own, he charged at her at a fast pace, hoping to win the fight with speed. The girl's smile grew as she easily dodged all of his attacks. The man then jumped back, out of stamina and changed his kagune form into a more sharp one as several red shards now began flying toward the girl. But, they never hit the girl for she disappeared from sight, through his eyes at least. The man then felt two small hands grab his kagune from behind and felt a small shoe pressed against his back.

His loud scream then erupted from the alleyway as the young demon pulled out his kagune in one fast motion. The girl looked down to the man who was on the bridge of death before looking to all of the red shards that were stuck into the walls and as well as the floor. The girl then picked up one shard pulling it out of the wall and tossed it up into the air before catching it easily. She then crouched down next to the ghoul she just killed. And in one slick motion she severed his whole arm off of his body. "Hmm~," the demon hummed, "Guess I'll use this weird shard as a replacement for Ciel's useless silverware," she said to herself. the demon then picked up all the shards thinking of several different pocket knife designs.
