The boy woke up with a new taste in his mouth and began to freak out believing it to be human. He then realized he was in a different scenery and the memories from the night before flew into is mind. The night where he had the opportunity to eat his friend actually his only friend. Thanks to the lavender haired girl he didn't in the end which disappointed the demon who was watching from a far. The demon thought it would be more entertaining if the boy suffered from the knowledge of eating his own friend..
"Hide," the boy said with a shaky tone of voice that held worry for his friend. The boy didn't remember last night clearly so he couldn't conclude whether or not his friend was alive. The door to the room the boy sat in opened and the manager of the cafe walking in with his usual calm state. The boy immediately asked for his friend Hide, and so he was led to where he was resting. Upon entering the room his friend turned to his side facing away from his friend seeming to be in a state of unconsciousness.
The black haired boy then rambled on about how his hunger can control him instead of the other way around. "I can't be around Hide anymore. But, I can't be in the ghoul world either. There's no where I can go anymore," The boy said as tears poured from his eyes. The manager walked further into the room and shed light upon it by opening the blinds. "Kaneki you're human and a ghoul. You're the only person who belongs in both worlds," The manager enlightened the boy.
"I want you to stay around for a while see that us ghouls aren't as bad as the prejudice that is placed against us says," the manager said facing Kaneki. Kaneki looked at the boy never ready for any changes that continue to come his way. The boy looked toward the ground, "You are welcome here anytime," the manager offered him. "I'd even offer you a job if you'd like. I can teach you how to make coffee." the manager extended the offer with a welcoming smile and the boy nodded to his offer thinking it was all he got.

"Boring, boring, boring ... BORING!" The young girl said as she currently laying down in a random park in a patch of perfectly trimed grass. "Everything is so boring!" The girl continued on her tantrum like rant. Thanks to the wonderful feature of enhanced hearing the demon girl heard someone spying on her in a patch of bushes a few meters away from her. "Let me guess a ghoul followed my sent here. This is getting quite annoying you know, you're the thirteenth one today I have to kill off," the young girl rambled on spewing her thought into words.
"What kind of joy could I get from people like you who're easy to kill?" she asked after appearing behind him in the bush. He let out a scream of terror as he saw her eyes flash pink, "Wouldn't want people like ghouls to start thinking they're the tough ones around here, huh?" the girl asked walking out of the bush and towards the man who lay on the grass. "Goodnight," she said crushing his brains in with her foot. "Your head was softer than I thought it would be," the demon said aloud not having any fucks to give. "What do we have here?" a deep voiced man said as he approached the little scene the girl made.
