*2 Days before the 1st Chapter*

"Mom,you called?" I asked as I walked in the kitchen.

"Yeah,take a seat" she said sounding serious.

I looked at her weirdly then took a seat in front of her.

"Well,Since it's summer and you don't have anything to do.Me and your father were thinking maybe we can all go back to the Philippines" She announced like it was no big deal with a smile,taking a sip of her coffee.

"What? Are y-you s-serious?" I said clearly very happy.

"Yes,I am very serious.Dead serious.We can show your sister around the Philippines"She said.

"Cool! When do we leave!?" I said jumping up and down on my seat.

"Tomorrow,now go and pack!" She shooed me.

That fast? Darn,I need to pack already and say my goodbye's

I ran up the stairs a little too fast that I missed a step and fell.

"DARREN,YOU OKAY?!" My mom yelled from the kitchen.

"JUST DANDY!" I yelled back with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.

I went inside my room and grabbed my luggage and started packing clothes for the trip.

Whi- WHAT?!

"Lynelle" I groaned.

I was about to get other clothes from the closet when I noticed a little bracelet that must have fell from one of my jackets or backpacks.

I grabbed it and looked at it with shock.

This was the bracelet that my old best friend gave me.

Memories started flooding and guilt grew in the pit of my stomach.

Then I remembered that Silly Filipino girl that I used to know.

~ flashback ~

"Hmm,Darren what's your favorite color?" Savy asked out of the blue.

"Green!" I answered,Trying to make a green bracelet out of yarn.

"Why green?" She asked as she started to make a blue bracelet.

"Well,I don't know actually.Color green is just calm for me" I replied.(A/N: I don't even know why he likes green so I made this up.)

She nodded and made a bracelet patter; blue bracelet while I made a green bracelet.

"Well,why do you like blue?" I asked pointing at the bracelet she's making.

"That's easy,I love the ocean!Or I just really like swimming! oh and the sky! The beautiful sky" she cooed.

After 5 minutes of silence,she started attaching something on my wrist.

I looked down and saw a blue bracelet on my wrist being tied.

"What are you doing?" I asked still confused a bit.

"Well,Since you're going to Canada I might as well give you a farewell gift and something to remind you of me" she smiled.

"Well then,here's my green bracelet.This will remind you that wherever I am,You're always with me" I told her.
