Max's POV:

I charge at Setrákus Ra and he hesitates, apparently not expecting me to charge at him so suddenly and alone.

I jab at him with my Voron sword but he side-steps and swings his sword at me. I fly out of the way, just barely missing the sharp tip. He may be very big, but he's still pretty fast.

I just happen to be a bit faster.

I fly around him like a speeding bullet, slashing at him randomly. He shouts in pain anytime I hit him where there isn't a piece of armor and before I can fly away, I catch a glimpse of a small, glowing purple scar forming where I hit him. I feel a bit guilty for giving him so many Voron scars, but I'll do whatever it takes to protect my family and friends and get rid of him for good.

I continue to fly around Setrákus Ra, annoying him with every scar. He swings wildly, hoping to hit me away. He doesn't get lucky until his hundredth time.

He's about to slam his arm onto me as I give him a good slash on the arm but I hold up the shield Percy gave me. He slams me with full force, almost knocking me out of the air. I fly back about a hundred yards and glare Setrákus Ra down. I once again hold up my sword and shield and charge at him. This time, though, he's ready.

I fake a left and instead fly right, but he knows what I'm doing. He swings his huge sword right and even though it's only a skim on my arm, it's a huge slash. The sword is bigger than me, about ten feet tall while Setrákus Ra is twenty.

I scream as searing, white hot pain flashes through my arm. I fall to the ground on my knees, dropping my sword and holding my badly bleeding wound. One hit with that sword on my back, stomach, sides, or head and I'm done for.

I look up at Setrákus Ra smirking down at me. I grab my sword from the ground and glare at him. His smirk turns into a scowl and he thrusts his sword down at me. I fly into the air to avoid getting sliced in half as Setrákus Ra's sword slams into the stage, sticking there. Setrákus Ra growls in frustration as he tries to pull it out. I zip towards him, my sword ready to strike him in the heart. He pulls his sword free from the ground just as I jab my sword at him. He pulls his sword upward, almost hitting me, but I fly out of his reach before he can. He turns around to face me and swings his sword at me again. I fly out of his reach, holding my shield up in front of me just in case.

It goes on like this for what seems like hours- he strikes, I dodge. I strike, he manages to deflect my blow.

Soon enough, though, I'm trying to steady my breathing as blood pours nonstop from my arm. I'm starting to get dizzy but Setrákus Ra looks like he just came back from vacation. I'm on my feet on the ground, facing Setrákus Ra again. Behind him, the battle with the Mogs and the demigods, Garde, Cêpans, and ally humans and Mogs is raging on. The Garde, demigods, and others are easily outnumbered ten to one, but that doesn't stop them from attacking with full force. Many are injured and tired out, but they're still attacking vigorously.

I face Setrákus Ra again, who's still holding his huge Mogadorian sword, the tip dipped in my blood. I rise twenty feet into the air with my flight, facing Setrákus Ra eye-to-eye. I'm about to charge at him again when I feel all of my power drain out of me quicker than I could blink and I fall twenty feet from the air. I try to lift myself from the ground with flight or telekinesis but nothing works. Did Ella's Dreyen wear off and Setrákus Ra used his against me?

Before I can think of anything else, I land flat on my feet with a deafening crack. I scream as a white-hot pain sears through my right ankle all the way up to my neck. I fall to my side, tightly grasping my now-broken ankle. I breathe heavily, my vision dancing with black dots. My brain is swimming and I can't think straight.
