6 months. 6 amazing months, the best months of my life. The ups and downs were inevitable but I wouldn't change a thing for the world. I lay stretched out across a beach chair beside the pool in my jet black bikini, not a care in the world as the boys splashed each other in the pool. A smile played on my lips as I remembered every date Corbyn had taken me on, all of the amazing nights in with the boys and the spectacular party for the band's one year anniversary where Corbyn announced me as his girlfriend just last week. We had agreed that keeping our relationship a secret was the best thing for his career but the fact that he was willing to throw that away for me proved his love more than anything.
A splash of water flooding across my stomach awoke me from my deep thoughts and my eyes met the mischievous blue eyes that belonged to my boyfriend.
"Come on Amelia, get in! We won't bite...that much," Corbyn winked. His body remained in the water but his arms rested across the side of the pool.
"Ugh fine," I mumbled half laughing at Corbyn's lame joke.As I made my way to the pool I stared at the cold water that contained four of the five boys. My feet balanced at the edge of the pool as I tried to figure out who was missing. Without any time to react I felt a pair of broad hands around my waist and my whole body under the surface of the water. I rose to the surface and faced the tooth-gapped boy that was laughing hysterically.
"That was so not funny," I said in between fits of laughter.
"It so was, I should push you into the pool more often," Daniel smirked.
"You're so frustrating," I shook my head in fake annoyance.I could feel Corbyn's eyes burning a hole into the side of my face but chose to ignore. I've always known he's felt funny about me hanging out with Daniel but have never known why. So it came as no shock to me when he whisked me away from Daniel in one smooth motion of his arm wrapping around my waist and pulling me into a hug. I stared into his ocean eyes for what felt like forever until the loud ringing of my phone brought me back to reality.
A small groan escaped my lips as I pulled myself out of the pool and dried my hands so I could answer the call. The unknown number vibrated my phone rapidly in the palm of my hand.
"Hello?"
"Hi yes, is this Amelia Walker?" The female voice squeaked.
"Yes this is she," I said slowly. My heart pumped in my chest and my palms grew sweaty by the second. Something was wrong. Something was very very wrong.
"I'm sorry but I have some rather distressing news to deliver," I could feel the female voice soften which only made my heart rate increase rapidly.
"Yes? What is it?" I asked impatiently, my bottom lip quivering.
"I'm afraid to say your mother has passed away. She was in a car accident and died on site."__________
