"I'm tellin' ya' Reyes, he's just not soldier material! I have absolutely no damn idea on what you see in this boy! I've never seen someone get their ass kicked so fast, so many times in my life!" Mccree's western fashion, standing posture seemed to be the prominant feature in Gabriel's dimmly lit office. Multiple hand gestures flailing in the air followed by an unremorsefull tone in his voice ment he was absolutely godsmacked by Reyes's mindset. Watching the cowboy put his thumbs behind the seams of his pants and having his hands hang there gently, Gabe had no clue on how to respond. He just sat there with his intertwined fingers in front of his serious, blank stare off into space, letting himself drown in his thoughts.
O'Deorain had thought quite the opposite actually, leaning her rear on the front of Gabriels desk. Her hands rested outward softly on the hardwood table and, lifted a hand in the air in request. She had a thing or two to say about you.
"Well, I believe the kid is absolutely brilliant! He even astonished me a couple of times in the previous sessions." It had been a while, since the first time you had been tossed around on the mat, a while being a couple of weeks. All those days you marveled yourself in the professors eyes, and weren't even acknowledged in the lieutenants. All those times having your ass kicked by not only your fellow classmates but, the one guy who didn't know what a toothbrush and a stick of deoderant was. Everytime he took you down, it smelled like a patch of rotting onions were just dumped on top of you, almost like it was intentional.
But, through all those weeks, Gabriel only saw you fall in the trainning room, and that's what was sitting on the back of his mind. Remembering how you looked and the way you fell, made him doubt himself in his decisions. However, it wasn't he only thing creeping into his mind like a robber sneaking and tip-toeing his way into a house, it was something different and new. He had never felt this emotion before for any one of his recruits. Examining it in his mind, like it was sitting in the palm of his mental hand, and gazed upon it like it was compeletly foreign. He remembered the day he first set his eyes on you,-
'Gabe glanced up at the photo and instantly went wide eyed for a moment. His breath hitched silently, causing his breathing to become a little heavier before returning to normal.
"-What made him eligible for the facilities standards was allegedly his work ethic, his name is (f/n) (l/n), and when it comes to booksmarts, he's no laughing matter. The kids got a brain on him Gabe.-"
You stood with a straight face towards the camera, it made Gabe feel a bit odd sensing a bit of seriousness behind those (e/c) eyes. Examining your information further on the screen, he began rubbing his beard again forcing his hand to cover his mouth in the process, as he continued listening to Jack's rant.'
It was the one thing that kept him situated in his decision and made him keep you around. Mccree's voice now overlapping his thoughts, didn't care on how smart the private was, he only cared if he could throw a damn punch.
"Well good for you carrot top, I want him to be a fightin' machine, not a lunatic."
"Tch, Alot of talk for someone who's constantly screaming like a mongrel, complaining about every little thing." The increasing tension between the two had only been between them, exchanging death stares of a lifetime. Lieutenant Shimada, was resting against the wall in the back minding his business and Gabriel well,- was trapped in his own thoughts.
"Watch it, lady. L-Look Gabe, point is,- This boy ain't worth shit. I have to train the recruits again today and i'm expecting the same results. Do somethin' about it." The anger in his voice started to bubble at the surface causing a thicker accent to resignate off his tongue. Pointing his thumb up towards his figure with his emphisized 'i'm', he was sick of it.
