The next week was kinda,-

Rough.

Lieutenant Shimada didn't waste any time showing you what needed to be done and with impatient haste.

"Higher."

Your hand placement in your stance didn't sit right with him and it was honestly getting on your last set of nerves. The way he was constantly telling you to be tougher, stand taller, and act better in his forcefull tone, was tugging on every string you had in the worst way possible. You looked at the pictures and read the articles including the books on this shit, you knew you had the right stance, your memory and knowledge didn't fail you, it never has! But to him, he was on a completely different level than you. By the time he had it close to were he was acceptable with the positioning, it was already far different from where you had started. At this point, it felt stupidly useless to you for even taking the time to read those damn articles.

But, you couldn't say a thing, he was the lieutenant. You couldn't back talk a higher up, unless you wanted your ass to be grass and you didn't want your ass to be chewed out in the slightest. You get enough of that already but, your expression unfortunately couldn't hold anything back.

Through your serious soldier stare, he could see the hint of annoyance behind your eyes at the constant nagging of perfection in your appearance. Shimada started to get annoyed as well, it seemed to him that through this hint of dismay, he'd believe you wanted to do better. He guessed you just hadn't gotten it through your head that this is what you needed, not just what you wanted.

So he was going to prove it to you.

Keeping quiet, he observed the stance you were in, before turning around with assertiveness, walking a few feet away from your being.

"Assume the previous stance you held before, the one you believed to be the correct stance from your 'studies'."

Finally, a more relaxing position, the one you remembered from the photos of other martial artists. Cocking your head a bit with a semi-triumphant smirk you went back to your more comfortable stance and held it tight.

"(Y/n), do you know why your stance is easily obscured and breakable?"

Lieutenant Shimadas tone didn't sit rigt with you, watching his head turn to the side, eyeing you down through his peripherals. His arms crossed, you hated every sense of feeling he gave off.

Oh God, what was he gonna do?

Feeling a bit unstable through his intent of trying to scare the living shit out of you. All you could do was reply with a simple, "No, si-!"

Clocking in at what seemed like a millisecond, Lieutenant Shimada was already cutting off, 'what seemed to you' like a steady grip to the ground. With a swift punch to your gut and his firm ankle to the back of your calf muscle, he caused your legs to fly upward into the air with you falling down onto the mat with a hard smack and instant regret. Your head hitting the ground hard, it seemed like your brain had just turned to mush, the way it was bouncing around in your skull.

"Gah!"

Before you could even soak in the pain you had received, his flat foot was already rushing down towards your face like a bomb diving towards the ground. It had all felt weightless to you once you had seen his foot stop right before it had stomped your face to smithereens. The sheer velocity at which the fall and quick punch to the stomach had taken away the oxygen from your system was massive and had forcefully surged into your body once again causing you to breathe heavily. It had sounded as if you were breathing without an oxygen tank that you needed so desperatly to survive.
