Chapter 5

The room was dark, only illuminated by the red disco lights that occasionally swept across the floor. The boy's eyes were searching the room.

His friends had left him a while ago, not knowing that they had made a big mistake. Yes, it was their fault this was happening. If they hadn't left...

His eyes locked onto a dancing figure who seemed alone, even though there was a huge crowd surrounding him. The boy stood up from his seat, feeling the familiar rush pump into his system. The rush he got when he found a new prey. The rush he got when imagining it was him and not some drunk loner.

The boy let his hands hit the figures waist as he wrapped his arms around it. The figure knew nothing as it spun around, body still moving.

No words were exchanged between the boy and the figure. Not in the cab, nor when they stumbled into the boy's simple apartment.

The walls in the room where white, like the rest of the walls in the building. The sheets were also white, the duve felt fluffy against their skin.

The walls were soundproof. The boy had made sure of it.

And when the night was over, another heart was added to his collection, a sick smile dancing on his lips.

Yoongi woke up in a cold sweat that morning. The second he opened his eyes, his stomach told him that he should probably make a run for the bathroom, and as he crouched over the toilet, he thanked himself for listening.

After a cold, refreshing shower, he went back into the small hotel room. He checked, his phone, but there was no new messages, not even from Namjoon. Perhaps Namjoon didn't want to contact him too much, in case the police was onto him.

He had to admit, he was slightly disappointed that Jimin hadn't texted him. Maybe he had been working late? Or maybe he went out with his friends after work? Possibly his girlfriend?

Yoongi rubbed his face and let out a long groan. This wasn't the time to think of those things.

He decided to figure out a little bit more about the person he woke up next to that day. Maybe that could somehow lead him to some sort of answer.

He opened Naver on his phone and typed in three syllables;

Kim Taehyung.

"Joonie, honey, where's the butter?"

Namjoon flipped the page of the newpaper, leaning back in the chair.

"I don't know, it should be in the fridge. Are we out?" he shouted back, skimming through the article on the page. Something about plans for building a new children's school nearby.

"I think so. I'll go get some more. And some juice while I'm at it. Do you need anything while I'm out?" Jin asked, appearing in the door frame between the kitchen and the living room.

Namjoon looked up at him, immediately smiling.

"No, thank you", he said, giving his boyfriend a loving smile.

Jin smiled back at him, and came over to his chair. Namjoon had to put down the paper, because Jin was seated in his lap within a few second, arms around his boyfriend's neck.

"I love you, Joonie", he said with a smile, leaning in and placing a soft kiss on said boy's lips.

"And I love you, too, Jinnie", Namjoon replied, stroking Jin's cheek.

Jin leaned in for another kiss, this one lasting longer. Jin let his hands slide into the other's hair, but they didn't get much further until a knock on the door interrupted them.

Jin pulled back, getting up.

"Are you expecting someone?" He asked and looked back at Namjoon as he walked to the door. Namjoon just shook his head and leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed on the door.

Jin opened it only to be met with the wide smile of their always cheerful neighbour, Jung Hoseok.

"Hello, my dear neighbours", he said, leaning at the door frame.

Hoseok had been their neighbour for half a year now, and he would often come over to ask for help, borrow stuff, or just to grab a cup of coffee and talk for a while. The pair owning the apartment had grown quite fond of him.

"What's up, Hoseok?" Namjoon asked, a smile finding it's way to his face.

"I was wondering if I could borrow some butter. I'm out, but I'm not paid until next week, you see", he said, fiddling with his own fingers and rocking slightly back and forth.

"We're out as well, sorry", Namjoon said apologetically.

"I was just about to go out and get some, I can get you an extra pack if you'd like?" Jin piped in, looking between Namjoon and Hoseok.

"Thank you so much, Jin-hyung!" Hoseok squealed, jumping onto the clueless boys, who had to take a step back to not fall down from the sudden embrace. Laughter filled the room, the atmosphere was light and friendly.

That was until Jin's phone started ringing, and his face turned into a frown as he looked at it.

"I should get going now, see you guys later", he said, suddenly in a hurry.

"Love you", Namjoon called out, but Jin was already immersed in the seemingly very important phone call. Who could it be?

Namjoon was now frowning as well, and Hoseok was probably already figuring out how to escape the sudden awkward situation.

"I'm gonna just... yeah, see you later, Namjoon", he said, retreating from the apartment and closing the door after him.

Namjoon was left alone, Jin's serious face still etched into his mind.

Just who could it have been?

FINALLY!

Omg, it took me so long to finish this chapter, phew!

My computer is still dead, btw, and this is not edited, so.... yeah, mistakes may occur.

I have started writing a one shot book on the side of this, which has me slightly more motivated to write. But I really, REALLY want to finish this story as well, because I have a good plan!!

It will be quite short, though, most likely. But yeah, look forward to more Yoonmin in action, and more hints about who the killer and Yoongi's stalker (?) is!!

Thank you for reading, please vote, comment and share as well. Everything matters for an unknown writer like myself 😅❤
