"Okay, it's going to be quite long, though, so you are not allowed to change your mind half way, okay?" Jimin asked sternly, frowning at Yoongi, who only nodded, playing along with the sudden childishness of the younger boy.

"Well, let me start then. Hm... Okay, I was born on the thirteenth of October, 1997. My brother was five years older than me, and our parents were mean to us. They would always yell at us, and hit us, and say mean things", Jimin said, a pout forming at his lips as he seemingly remembered the abuse of his parents. It almost made Yoongi feel sorry for him.

Almost.

"I was usually home alone, mom and dad was out working and my brother was at school. Mom would always come home really late, and she would smell bad and say weird things to our dad. Then he would hit him, and he hit her. My brother always took me up to our room when that happened, and we slept in each others arms", the small boy continued.

Yoongi couldn't say anything, his voice was stuck in his throat.

"So, one day, when I had just turned three years old, my brother was about to become eight, he told me that we should run away from home. And we grabbed some of our stuff and was about to sneak out, but mom came into the hallway. She smelled funny, as usual. She started yelling, and then she started hitting my brother, and I ran into the kitchen to hide."

Yoongi was now clutching the cuffs behind his back, his heart pounding. He didn't want to hear any more of this horrible story, but he knew he would have to in order to get the real question answered.

"And there was this big knife on the table, and I just..." Jimin's voice suddenly broke. Tears had welled up in his eyes without Yoongi noticing, the small boy was clutching the older's shirt in his fists. "I just wanted to help my brother. And then dad came, and my brother said we had to take him too."

Yoongi frowned, looking down at the younger boy.

"Take him too? You mean... you killed your parents?"

Jimin's mood changed the second those words left Yoongi's mouth, nodding excitedly, drying his tears. The fact that Yoongi had been paying attention apparently meant more to him than his parents abusing him and his brother for years and them ending up with murdering them.

"Yes! Exactly. My brother had tried to strangle my mother before I managed to come and help, but he took over, because I was too small. And he took care of dad as well. He cut out their hearts, because he said they didn't deserve to have them when they were so mean to us. But then some scary men came and took us to a scary place and tried to 'cure' us", Jimin continued, frowning once again. Yoongi bit his lip.

"And we grew a little more, I became seven and my brother eleven. It was at this point he said that we should get away from the scary place. We ran away quite easily, and he took me to this house. I quickly found out that he killed people for money, and he got us new identities and lots of houses all over the place!" Jimin said, smiling up at Yoongi. Yoongi managed to force a smile onto his face, trying to react the way the younger wanted him to.

"He said we were safe from the police if we just moved around a lot. And eventually, I started doing the same as him, but not for money. We didn't need that, because my brother earned so much on his own. Every month, he would have this box, and fill them with the hearts of the people he killed, and then we would have a bonfire at the last day of the month."

The younger's eyes were filled with a sick admiration as he talked about his older brother and his questionable line of work.

"I wanted to be like my brother, and I started going out to night clubs. It turns out, quite a few people find me attractive!" he continued, giggling. And Yoonig couldn't blame the people. If he had been the one meeting Jimin in a club, the hot and sweaty air surrounding them, lusty stares being exchanged between them as they neared each other, he was sure he would be done for.

"I took them to our house at the moment, and then I strangled them. It was the most fun, because they always thought that they could just fight back and save themselves!" the boy said, as if he was talking about his favorite video game.

"Of course, they couldn't. I would keep their hearts in my own little box, and show my brother when he came home. He was so proud of me! But then he said he wanted to go to school, that he wanted a real job", Jimin said, a pout once again finding it's way across his face.

"I was angry with him, and we argued. We decided to split up; he went to Seoul to attend school, and I stayed behind in Gwangju, where we had been situated at that moment. But we kept in contact of course, he would text me every day and tell me about his life and the people he met. And one day, he got a boyfriend. The boyfriend seemed nice, it was the first one my brother had. And then, he told me about you", the younger boy said, looking up at Yoongi with sparkling eyes.

A thought suddenly struck Yoongi, as memories from earlier flashed in his mind.

"Wait", he said, frowning. "What... what exactly is the name of your brother?"

Jimin put his finger to his chin, looking up, as he had to think about it.

"Well, after we got new identities, he changed his name to Kim Seokjin."

And Yoongi's blood went cold.
