When I saw Damon standing in the sunlight without his ring, burning, I rushed toward him, pushing him out of the sunlight and against a wall.
"Get off of me," Damon said.
"You're not doing this," I told him.
"Just did. You know what happened to Rose, Kaylin."
"I don't care. You're not dying today."
I rushed downstairs, throwing Damon into the cell, closing and locking the door.
"What's the plan, supergirl?" Damon asked.
"I'm gonna find a way out of this," I told him.
"Oh, right. A miracle cure. Good luck with that one."
"Stefan's got Bonnie looking for something, anything."
"Always the hero, our brother Stefan is," Damon said. "You're always the force to be wreckoned with, Kaylin. Just tell me good-bye, get it over with."
He coughed up some blood.
"Lie still," I told him. "Conserve your strength."
Then I left go find a way to save my oldest vampire brother.
I called Alaric, who answered, "Sorry, you've reached somebody who's currently not operating."
"I need your help."
"Well, you must have me confused with somebody else. You see, I'm not allowed to help. Just idly sit by while my girlfriend gets sacrificed on an alter of blood."
"Damon's dying."
"What?"
"Tyler Lockwood bit him. We don't have much time."
"What do you need?"
Stefan called to tell me where we could find the cure for a werewolf bite.
Klaus.
"You're not going alone, you do know that, right?" I asked over the phone. "He's an all-powerful wolf vamp that has a two-faced older brother who double-crossed us. I'm going with you."
"I wouldn't expect anything less," Stefan replied.
Stefan and I walked into Alaric's apartment, Kathering sitting on the bed as Stefan said, "Hello, Katherine."
Katherine stood up. "Two days, I've been waiting. I'm supposed to be free of Klaus' compulsion by now. He's supposed to be dead!"
"We ran into complications," I said.
"Complications?"
"Don't really matter," Stefan said. "We just need to find him. Do you have any idea where he might be?"
Katherine pushed us against the wall, letting go of me to put her finger to her lips to tell us to shut up. Klaus and Elijah walked in together. "Klaus, you're back. Look who decided to come for a visit."
Klaus looked at Stefan and me. "You Salvatores just keep popping up, don't you?"
"We need your help," I told him. "For our brother."
"Well, whatever it is, it's gonnna have to wait a tick," Klaus told us. "You see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention."
Elijah looked at us as Klaus walked away. "You understand how important family is, or you wouldn't be here. My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own."
