Stefan, Damon and I were waiting outside for Elena to sign the deed and have her invite us in.

"You really think Bonnie can take on Klaus?" I asked.

"She said she could channel enough witch's power to kill him," Stefan answered. "Elijah thought that would work and he was an Original, so . . . "

"We just need to find him," Damon finished.

"Yeah."

"Could she do one of those witch tracking spells?" I asked.

"Nope," Stefan answered. "Not without something that belongs to Klaus. Believe me, I already asked."

There was a hesitation before Damon asked, "Do you think he killed her?"

"Katherine?" Stefan asked. Damon nodded. "Probably."

"It's not like she didn't have it coming," I told them.

Elena opened the door, the lawyer starting to leave. "Thank you, Mr. Henry."

As she turned around, Stefan, Damon ad I started to follow, but we couldn't enter.

Elena turned back with a smile. "I'm sorry. I completely forgot." She looked at Stefan. "Stefan. Would you like to come inside my house?"

"I would love to," Stefan answered, walking inside. "Thank you."

Elena looked at me and Damon.

"What are we, 12?" I asked.

"Two of us are," Elena replied. "If I let you both in, do you promise to obey the owner of this house?"

"No," Damon said.

"Seriously, Damon. My way. You promised. I call the shots. No lies, no secret agendas. Remember?"

"Yes, Elena."

She looked at me.

"Sure, whatever," I said.

Elena smiled. "Then, please, come in."

We both walked in, and I looked at Stefan's smug face. "Shut up."

Bonnie walked in, giving Elena her jacket, who said, "Thanks."

"Wait, where are you going?" Stefan asked.

"To school," Elena answered.

"Huh?" I asked.

"No, no, no," Damon said. "We didn't create a safe house for you to leave it."

"Yeah, guys," Stefan told Elena and Bonnie. "Klaus is out there. We know that."

"Right," Elena said. "But where? No one knows. Look, I really appreciate what you guys are doing. And I'll be able to sleep at night knowing that I'll be safe here, but I'm not going to be a prisoner."

"Your way, Elena," I said.

"Don't worry, I'm ready," Bonnie told us. "If he shows his face, I can take him. Know how."

"The way I see it, next to Bonnie is the safest place that I can be," Elena said. "Come on."

Bonnie and Elena walked out of the house, Damon gesturing for Stefan to go with them, who said, "Wait, um, coming."

Stefan followed them to school.

Stefan, Elena and Bonnie came home to tell us that Klaus compelled a girl at the school saying he was going to be at the decade dance tonight, and that he wanted Elena to save him the last dance.
