My team and I were in our old boss's office, waiting for our new one to walk in. I sat on the desk while Sean took care of my injured leg and Dan cleaned up the wound on my throat. My mind was racing with thoughts about the events that took place in the past few hours. I was broken out of my trance when a woman walked into the office. My eyes widened at the sight of her.
"You look just like her." I thought out loud.
She laughed. "Why yes, I am her sister. Her twin sister to be precise. My name is Heather."
"Very glad to be working for you ma'am. We are—" Sean began but was cut off by Heather.
"Yes," she said. "I know who you all are. Sean, Dan, Phil, and Y/N."
"That is us." Phil smiled.
She then eyed me up and down. "I can see you must have just gotten back from a mission."
"That we did." I replied.
"I hear that The Crimson Killers are currently being put into jail, exactly where they belong." She continued.
Phil fixed his black hair on the front of his head. "Yeah, Y/N was lucky to survive the past few hours."
"Lucky," I laughed. "I just know what I am doing and perform my job very well."
"No need to brag." Phil chuckled.
"All done." Sean said suddenly, packing up the medical kit he had opened.
I looked down at my leg to see it cleaned up and bandaged perfectly. Dan had also finished with the wound on my throat.
"Thank you, both of you." I told them.
"No problem." Dan smiled.
"Why don't you all go and rest. I have a feeling that you have had a long night." Heather told us.
"Good idea." Sean commented as he turned and left the office, stopping in the hallway as he waited for us to follow him.
Heather sat down at her desk as Dan, Phil, and I walked out into the hallway. I closed the door behind myself.
"Lets go to my unit." The green haired man suggested.
"I am good with that." Dan agreed.
Phil and I nodded in response.
The four of us made it to Sean's penthouse unit. We all gathered and sat down in the lounge area, exhausted from the night we had all had.
We sat there for a few moments in silence, not exactly sure what to say to each other. Suddenly, there was a knock at the front door.
Dan hopped up and went over to the door. Upon opening it, Heather walked in and approached us in the lounge area.
Dan came back over to us, sitting down in his spot once again.
Heather cleared her throat. "I know you all just got back from a mission, but there is something that was just brought to my attention that I think you would be interested in."
"What is it?" I inquired.
"Well," Heather began. "I am sure you are aware of Brighton, not incredibly far from here."
"Yes." I replied.
"There is a man there who has had affiliations with The Crimson Killers and has become quite the criminal himself. He will no doubt try to break them out of jail." Heather explained. "His name is Felix Kjellberg."
"Wow." Sean whispered, looking puzzled.
Heather looked at him. "Sean, do you know this man?"
"Well yeah, he is...an old friend." Sean said.
"When was the last time you spoke with him?" Heather questioned.
Sean looked at the floor, deep in thought. "I would say a good five years ago at least. We were childhood friends, then after high school we kind of just, parted ways. We spoke on and off here and there for a little bit afterwards but then I just stopped talking to him once I got this job. I did not want him involved in it. I just cannot believe that this is what he is doing now."
Heather just nodded, not knowing how to respond to his story. "Well, I will keep tabs on him and see what he is up to. If he helps them escape, you will be up for The Crimson Killers round two I reckon."
With that, she left Sean's penthouse unit and we were alone once again.
"Round two." Phil laughed. "I do not think so."
"Took the words right out of my mouth." I commented.
"Well, I guess we will just have to see what tomorrow brings." Dan added on.
Sean let out a sigh. "Say Felix did help them escape. You know what Heather would want us to do, do you not?"
I looked over at him. "Kill them?"
"Precisely." Sean answered. "Imagine that. Killing one of my, well, used to be best friends."
An awkward silence fell over the room. Phil broke it moments after with a loud yawn. He then stood up.
"I am going to head off to bed." He announced, leaving the unit.
"Same." Dan said as he followed behind Phil.
I stood up. "If you do not mind I think I am going to head off as well."
"Do you need help getting to your unit? Just because of your leg." Sean asked me.
I smiled. "I think I can manage. Thank you though."
He smiled back and I headed off. I had a slight limp to my walk, as my leg was still in pain.
I made it to my penthouse unit and changed into my pj's. I climbed into bed and laid down, getting comfortable. As soon as my head hit my pillow I fell asleep. Tomorrow, Heather would give us details on Felix Kjellberg. Tomorrow would be a day when I could call myself a lethal assassin.
