Coming Over

I woke up and looked at the clock that sat on my bedside table. It read ten o' clock in the morning.

I went to my bathroom and got dressed. Today was the day I would go over to the place The Crimson Killers called home.

After dressing and grabbing the blueprints from my sitting area, I left my penthouse and went to the dining hall to join my team members for breakfast.

"Sleep well?" Phil inquired, sipping on a glass of orange juice.

I sat down at the table. "Yes, surprisingly."

Sean reached for the blueprints in front of me and examined them. "What is this?"

"Layout of The Crimson Killers' flat. The boss told me to look this over and know where all of the rooms are." I answered.

Suddenly, the boss bursted into the dining hall and strolled over to us.

"Speak of the devil." Dan muttered.

She came over to me and placed a cell phone and the napkin from the nightclub on the table. "Y/N, I have set up a number for this phone so you can call them. You can go ahead and do that now."

I took the phone and nodded my head. I entered Ethan's number into the phone and was ready to press the call button.

The boss reached over and pressed the call button for me, then hit the speaker phone button.

The phone rang twice before Ethan's voice came through. "Hello?"

"Hello Ethan. It is me, Y/N. Remember me from the nightclub?" I asked.

There was a pause, as if he was thinking. "Ah yes. I remember you Y/N. I see you did not loose the napkin I gave you."

"Of course not. I was just wondering, maybe we could meet up tonight?" I said.

"Yeah," Ethan began. "Yeah that will work. Mark and Matthew will not be around tonight, so just come over to our place for dinner. Nate will be here, but that should be fine right?"

"Oh yeah that is perfectly fine." I replied. "What time should I come for?"

"How about seven. Will that work with your school schedule?" He inquired.

My team members and boss looked very confused. I waved my hand at them, meaning I would explain later. "Yes, that will work for me."

"Alright, see you at seven then Y/N." Ethan said cheerfully before ending the call. I could practically hear his smile through the phone.

"Excellent work Y/N. I will leave you with the afternoon to prepare yourself." The boss said as she exited the room.

"So," Dan began. "What school schedule?"

"At the nightclub, The Crimson Killers were asking about me. I told them that I moved here recently from Oxford, as I got accepted to the University of London. I said that I was studying law there because I wanted to become a lawyer. That is my made up life story." I explained.

"Nice story." Sean commented, sipping on a mimosa.

"Thanks." I replied, reaching for the orange juice that was placed in front me.

After several minutes of conversation, the boss once again entered the dining hall. A small group of people followed her, all of which cleared all of the dishes and empty glasses from our dining table.

She then approached me and pulled a small, gold coloured case out of the pocket of her jacket. She placed it on the table in front of me, and I looked up at her with questioning eyes.
