After Abidos was gone, I go to Tatsuya concerned. I was worried since he witnessed the battle.
"Tatsuya, I need you to keep this a secret from everyone." I said as I kneel in front of him, getting eye level with him.
"Wh-what do you mean? What was with all that!? I thought solid vision was only applicable in Action Duels! And you can Xyz Summon like a pro!?" He started to panic. I sigh, then ruffle his hair.
"Hey, it's okay. I'll explain when the time is right. Can you keep this event just between us?" I ask, gently smiling reassuringly. He looks at me nervously, but smiles and nods. I smile back, then turn to Blaze.
"Thank you for coming. I do have a few questions, though, regarding your Xyz monster."
Blaze looks at me, giving me a smile.
"I will explain in due time, but..." Sirens are heard in the distance. "I'll see ya later, John." Blaze then runs into the trees, disappearing in the dense leafage.
"Guess we should get going too, Tatsuya." I grab his hand and rush us out of the area before anyone arrived.
You Show Duel School. 10 minutes after the duel....
"Where are Tatsuya and big bro John?" Asked Ayu.
"I am getting nervous shivers!" Exclaimed Futoshi.
"Guys, relax. I'm certain John can protect Tatsuya if anything bad happened." Yuya says, trying to help the kids relax.
"I don't know if he can. I just heard something happened just near here." Says Sora. Before Yuya could retort, the doors open, revealing me and Tatsuya.
"Tatsuya! John!" Yell both Futoshi and Ayu, rushing and tackling us to the ground.
"Hahahaha! Okay okay. Don't need to do a dog pile on us." I laugh. Tatsuya is blushing brightly, mainly because Ayu was hugging him tightly. Suddenly, I think of/remember something.
Heartland
Eighteen years after the war between Barian and Astral World...
Tori was walking around, carrying a pink bundle. Within the bundle was a baby girl, pretty much 8 months old. I suddenly see a younger version of me, around 3 years old, walking next to Tori, clinging to her dress. Tori looks down, smiling.
"Want to see Fumi, John?" Asked the older Tori. The younger me nods, and Tori kneels down. I see that the little girl has Yuma's hair coloring, but not spikey.
"Nighty Fumi." Says the younger me.
Flashback ends
I shake my head, and everyone was looking at me concerned.
"Is there something on my face?" I ask.
"Did something happen today, John? You were crying just now a little bit." Exclaimed Yuzu.
"Huh?" I wipe my eyes, and most certainly I had remains of tears running down my cheeks. I then smile.
"I'm okay. Guess I just thought of something."
"Like what, big bro John?" Ayu asked. I was about to answer, but Yuzu chimes in.
"If you don't feel like talking about it, it's fine."
"Yeah. Thanks, Yuzu." I smile, glad she didn't want to push about something I didn't understand at the moment.
"So, what are we going to do?" Asked Ayu.
"How about a duel?" I ask. "I want to face Yuzu, this time." At this, Yuzu and Yuya give a look of shock.
"M-m-me!? Wh-why?"
"I heard you were getting training from Sora, and I have a different deck I'd like to use." I say, clearly making everyone look at me surprised.
"How many decks do you have?" Asked Sora.
"I have only three. So," I turn back to Yuzu, "want to see how we fair?"
Just before she could answers, a bunch of security people from LDS came, followed by three students and a older woman with magenta colored hair.
"I am Himika Akaba, and I have news that one of your students attacked a member of our student body."
"That's absurd!" Yells Shuzo.
"Oh? You care to call LDS's Chairwoman and her student liars? The student is currently in intensive care, and-" I stifle a chuckle, which attracted the attention of Himika and the students that came with her.
"What's so funny, boy?"
"If you mean Sawatori," I pull out a tablet and access a video, showing Sawatori sitting in a hospital room, clearly enjoying himself, "you might want to get your facts straight. If you still think one of us attacked him, how about a duel?"
The woman narrowed her eyes, clearly annoyed, but then clears her throat.
"I will accept this challenge. I've brought three students just in case. If we win, we will absorb You Show into our duel school. If you win, we will leave and overlook this... Accusation."
"I will agree to this." Shuzo exclaimed.
"Yuya, may I have the first round? I know how much this school means to you, but I want to show my strength to these amateurs." Yuya looks at me, confused, then smile and nod.
"Go get them, John."
I smile and walk into the Action Duel room. As I prepare my deck, the kid with purple hair walks in, smiling arrogantly.
"I'm Hokuto Shijima, top Xyz student of LDS."
"Well, guess we are going to see if that's true. Hope you are ready to face my top deck." I say. Shuzo then activated the action field generator.
"Action Field: Star Sanctuary, activate!" As the field materialized, Hokuto chuckles.
"Thank you, sir. This field suits me."
Shuzo then pales until I speak up.
"Same here. I might have the upper hand here." Hokuto and the others look in shock, but Shuzo relaxes at least.
"Duelist locked in battle!" Starts Shuzo.
"Kicking the Earth and dancing in the air with their monsters!" Continues Himika.
"They storm through this field!" Declare the other two students from LDS.
"Behold, the greatest evolution in Dueling." Yell out Yuya and Yuzu.
"Action...." Tatsuya, Ayu, and Futoshi yell.
"Duel!" Both Hokuto and I yell. The action cards then disperse.
