READ IT!!!!)She walked down the class hall with downcast eyes, pale. Her black bangs so long it almost reached her nose, shielding her eyes from whatever she thought she was hiding from. Her uniform was a size too big, sleeves flopping over her hands and skirt falling too low on her hips reaching towards her knees. She spent too long this morning thinking over scenarios that probably will never happen. Walking into the crowded classroom she sat at the back, alone. Her eyes staring at her feet trying to control her breathing and her delicate face turning beet red, but the short breaths came quicker and her cheeks warmed anyway. She knew deep down if Mikaela came calling her names again she would cry even if she tries her best to avoid her she seeks Athena out, her ego-building at every vile world coming out her mouth destroying her confidence that is already crumbling. Suddenly fear grabbed her tongue making her mouth dry, as the teacher called her name all the eyes diverted to her; she quietly puts her hand up looking at her desk.
Mikaela was the class bully. She and her little group follow her around like little lost ducks. She teased the sensitive and innocent, seeking their flaws and intimidates them till the point they refuse to go to school. She is a wannabe school idol who chewed gum constantly and wore the smallest of skirts.
Athena heard the heels of her shoes approach her, her heartbeat increased. Mikaela tugged on Athena's thick black hair causing her head to violently yank forward.
"you slut."
she placed her soggy gum on Athena's desk before sitting back down.
There was a peal of quiet laughter and loud grins of her classmates. She ruled all. Athena said nothing. She can't. She merely let them tease her because she was weak, well she thought she was. She frowned and attempted to pick the nasty content off her desk.
"I'm starting to get tired of this" she always thought to herself.
There was a sound of someone kissing their teeth along with a loud scoff. "You people"
There was a pause in the chatter.
Mikaela stayed silent, clearly shocked by what came out of Elijah's mouth, one of the mysterious boys in the school but he is also very popular. His is a black dark-skinned. A boy age 17,5ft 11 inches and built with the perfect amount of muscle for his body type, he was often friendly but stern with the I don't care vibe 24/7. Athena has seen him slip a smile here and there at people and the dimples of his cheeks deepen... its one of those charming smiles that makes your heart warm up instantly, he has thin hazel eyes that are so piercing and fox-like it makes anyone intimidated. His cheekbones are firm and his lips are a plump pale colour finishing his face, his hair was curly top fade styled defining his jaw. Elijah has any choice of girls as nearly every girl basically kisses his feet.
Athena very embarrassed stayed silent not daring to look up.
There was a slight pause, no voices were heard only the slight movements of students turning pages and the sound of the teacher's mouse-clicking every couple seconds. Athena calmed, she liked the silence, in fact, she swore she could hear each one of her classmate's brains buzzing.
But somehow there was a slight uneasiness to the silent within her gut. Something wasn't right. her brain kept ticking... trying to wrap her mind what was wrong. But, no matter how hard she thought she couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Athena tapped her foot nervously, "something isn't okay here" she thought to herself.
The ticking of the clock made her uneasy; she stared begging the clock to speed up so she could go home. Tapping her foot sped up...
She could feel the fear within her chest waiting to take over. Perhaps it only wants to protect her from danger, but there wasn't any danger...
The silence broke. An Agonizing scream shattered the silence. As if, it was a thin piece of glass. A loud thud- Bone crunching. Shouts of students erupted. Dread flooding the classroom; It was almost suffocating. Athena looked up. Everyone rushing to the window as they pressed their faces against the glass. There was a second of silence- Terror filled their face. Instantly screams and cries echoed from each corner of the Classroom.
Athena's still planted in her seat bit her lip trying not to give in to the curiosity which grew like a cat fixated upon its prey, it grew so big it was painful.
She had to see.
Standing up from her desk. she wobbled towards the window, her heart sped up. She pushed past the Frightened students. Opening the window. Then looked down.
...
She wished she never did
Her stomach turns before dropping, she freezes as if her brain completely shuts down. There was a glisten of cold sweat forming on her forehead as her eyes widened as if someone was going to give her the fatal hit;
A young girl- laid like a doll over the grass. Her limbs laid in abnormal angle and her head faced down on the concrete in such an awkward way that she couldn't have been alive, her body lifeless and cold. The colour of her skin fading away as if her soul just drifted away from the body, Her blonde angel-like hair scattered in multiple places. As Fresh, crimson blood trickles out her shattered skull. She did not move from this position; no struggle seen only pure stillness.
She was dead.
Her life stripped from her in a matter of seconds as if human life is as delicate as a flame. A flame that is so easily extinguished.
Life is delicate as a china plate on the edge of the of a cliff
This girl has fallen in the hands of death.
suicide?
Or...
Did someone push her?
Lunchtime, no investigators were called. In fact, they still removed the body with everyone there. All Athena saw was her body bag being zipped up. Before being taken away. Never to be seen again.
