The Run-aWays (I)

~ChaptEr Sixteen~

The dark figure bounced on her, violently tearing her t-shirt to shreads. His long lizard like slimey tongue sliding around her chest. Her head being held down. Her senses began to over power as Athena scratched the strangers face.
"I've always wanted to try a young virgin before" a voice echoed.
He sat on her legs, hands on her hands, and forced his arrowed tongue into her mouth. Athena bit down. "NO!" She screamed, "NO!"
"Elijah,"
"April?"
"Mum!?!"
"Someone help me.....please.."
"Help me.."
"NO"Athena sat up.
"No no no no nonononoNO!" She screamed, covering her ears. "NoNO NOOO" she screamed again. Elijah burst in the room, his face in panic. Seeing Athena sweaty and cold with her hand in her head, hitting her head. Elijah felt hopeless, and angry at himself. He knelt down beside her: "April...?"
"I dont want to remember!" She shouted, "I don't want to..remember." To embarrassed to look up, she felt dirty. Elijah stopped her hands from hitting her head. She looked up, her golden and blue eyes piercing into his fox-like ones before her ones welled up with tears. "I- just"
"It's okay" he hugged her
"I don't know-what to do-"
"Your okay." Laying her head on his chest.
"I can't this bullshit no more-"
"I'll keep you safe."

"You have me, April and now Joshua...There is more to this world then what you have experienced...beyond those walls."
Athena burst into tears, clinging onto Elijah pulling him closer. "I'm sorry, I'm slowing you guys down...you should go without me.."
"Never, April said its really important if you go, and our plan will fail without YOU. Its not like we need three people, there some significance in you she said."
Athena looked up, "I'm weak."
"Your strong, not everyone survived what you went through."
Athena tensed, "where is Joshua, and April."
"Asleep and shops."
"Elijah?"
"Hmm?"
"Nothing..."
He groaned, " I hate it when you do that,"
"I know..."

April walked down the street, seeing miserable faces left and right. The streets now looked gloomy, people hiding in fear in the shadows. The smell of weed consumed the air, screaming coming from all corners from the city became Simply birds chirping to the citizen of Dr.kille city.
She strolled to the grocery shop, dropping in groceries for certain meals here and there. She dropped in reusable nappies and a baby carriers that will hold joshua in places 4-12 months of age. She went to the cashier machine and began scanning.

"Your vixens daughter..." the women spat."You bitch"
"Yeah? why?" Answered Athena ignoring the fact she was called a bitch.
"You spoiled brat, Your deadbeat dad the Dr.Killes main advisers. Your dad sets the rules with him and sets dates for executions. Your dad is the reason why-"
"I know what my dad does," April spat. "What my dad does or did, doesn't reflect my character. Therefore gives you no right to be calling me such vile words. In that matter. I'm a paying customer."
"Your defending a murderer. Your just like him you fucking bitch"
"Im defending myself and frankly i don't remember killing anyone." April spat. "So as i got treated this way, I'm going to get on my way without paying nothing, unless you want it to cost your job instead." Pointing towards the cameras.
The women spat and looked away, April stormed off with the shopping, calling Elijah on her phone.
She turned the corner, taking the usual way to Athena's house. 
"Yello" he answered.
"Hey, I'm on my way to Athena's house. Stay on the phone it's sketchy out here..."
"Aight" he laughed. "Where abouts are you now?"
"Like five minutes away..." she paused.
"Aprilll?" Elijah called.
"Im on my way." She cut the phone.

"Hm...weird.." Elijah mumbled. He looked down at Athena. Her beautiful Asian eyes kept close. He looked at her rosy cheeks badly flushed from crying and her pink lips which were parted as she slept. He brushed her raven hair out of her face. "Athena?..."
"Yes?"
"I need to go check on dinner, can you try reach April and check on Joshua."
"Okay.."
"Is that okay?"
"Perfectly fine Elijah."
She lifted her head, rubbing her head in pain. Headache.
She saw Elijah's broad shoulders leave the room standing up slowly and wobbling after him. She waddled down the stairs and just in time Joshua started to stir, before it broke into a small struggled whimper to a cry.
Athena struggled towards him before picking him up and cradled him. She didn't know why he was crying: he was recently fed;  his nappy was dry. At this point all i think he wanted was human touch. She placed him on her chest rocking him- he went quiet. Athena sighed in relieve before picking up her phone calling April.
Before the all screen turned red. The lights flickered.
Elijah walked out the kitchen, his jaw tensed and looked over at Athena who held Joshua tighter.
Elijah sighed and massaged his hands.
"Have you tried call April?"
Athena shook her head reaching for his phone and pressing Aprils contact.
It rung
Then cut off
She bit her lip in concern before the doorbell rang.
April stood outside panicked.
"They just- someone just- " she walked in dumping the groceries.
She ran into the bathroom, not making it in time to close the door and puked.
Elijah appeared out the kitchen and ran upstairs to comfort her.
"What the fuck happened-" Elijah asked , April walked up with Joshua in her arms. She saw Elijah holding her hair back.
"I walked into the alley , there was a naked dead body of a girl."
She wiped her mouth and sighed. "She look like she was whipped alot and clearly was sexually abused hours before.The look-"
She looked at Athena "on her face, it was so empty and glass-like i just- " she covered her face and began to shake rapidly." Didn't know what to do. So i called authorities anonymously and ran and left her there.
"There was nothing more you could've done April, without putting you and us in danger" explained Athena.
April shook her head and laid back.
"This world is just fucked up."
