I was walking around the halls of the oh so familiar school

I was walking around the halls of the oh so familiar school. We had been waiting for them for about five minutes and I was sent to go retrieve them. I walked out the back doors of the school and rounded the corner, there they were, relaxing on the side of the school.

"Hey, babe," he smiled at me goofily, standing up from the ground and coming to give me a kiss on my temple, "whats up?"

I looked at the girl and waved at the familiar face, "You two have kept us all waiting. I hope it was worth it." I said, Beverly looked at her watch and saw how late they were.

"Can't believe it," She said as we started to walk around the school again, "I actually enjoy hanging out with Richie sometimes?" She asked me sarcastically. Richie walked a little slower behind us and listened to the comments we made.

"Wow, excuse you, Molly Ringwald, but I'm pretty fucking awesome and have been banging the hottest girl in school since freshman year." He said as he pushed in between the two of us and wrapped his arms around our shoulders.

"We've never done that, Richie, an I'm not 'the hottest girl in school'." I rolled my eyes lovingly at the boy who laughed at me adoringly.

We approached the Losers who looked absolutely pissed off. Believe it or not, we were all still the same, well kind of. Eddie still acts weird, Stan still rolls his eyes, Bill still stutter— and works on his art, Ben reads like the wind, and Mike has tagged along for the ride— he's also the most built out of all of us. We've all grown taller, older, and for the most case wiser.

"What the hell took you two so long?" Eddie fired at his best friend, their relationship hasn't changed a bit, but their appearances have. Eddie's hair is fluffy and had curled over time. His freckles scattered over the bridge of his nose as it was still warm out. Richie's hair is still big, curly and intense. His freckles scattered around his cheeks and nose. They had both grown taller, sometimes I didn't notice it because it wasn't sudden— it was gradual like how it was supposed to be, but I notice it when Richie slings his arm around me or when he picks me up.

Yup, you heard right, Richard Tozier can now pick me up, his goal since we've began dating. Eddie is taller too, but he's still somewhat the shortest of the Losers, besides Bev that is. Anyways, back to the events at hand, we were going to walk to the ice cream parlor after school, but Richie and Bev decided to have a smoke break behind the school. Richie doesn't always smoke, but on the rare occasion that he does you could tell he's done it. That's why he was pestering me for gum, of course I gave it to him.

"I bet I could blow a bigger bubble than you." He challenged a he began flattening the gum on his tongue.

"We'll see, Tozier." I rolled my eyes and started to chew my gum for more elasticity. I was always good at blowing bubbles, it was amusing for me when my great grandpa was alive— he taught me how to whistle too.
