I think some sweet moments were needed cause I've been really in my head.

"Happy birthday, Georgie!" I screamed as I twirled the little boy around. He laughed and gave me a lopsided grin with a 'thank you'. Richie went to go put his present on the table, along with thousands of other gifts.

"You're growing up, kid, stop that." I ruffled his hair.

His laughter quieted down as a smaller girl walked up to him, "happy birthday, George." Huh, George.

"Hey, Ashley, thank you for coming to my party." The kid just turned twelve and he's already got game,

"Hey, Georgie," Richie came up to us, ruffling his hair then turning to the girl, "uh, hi-"

"Oh, right, Ashley Smit, meet my-" I cut off the younger boy, sticking my hand out to the little girl and introducing Richie and I myself.

"Aunt Arri, yup, that's me." This little boy has got to be protected, he's growing up so fast, we all are.

"And I'm his Uncle Rich, we're the cool ones." Richie added on, Georgie smiled and nodded, I guess trying not to let embarrassment take him over.

"I'll show you were you can set down your present." He said showing the girl off before turning back to look at us, "please, don't embarrass me."

I laughed at him as Richie 'pfft'd, "like I said, we're the cool ones, you'd better tell that to Stan or Ben." Richie boasted.

"Thanks, Aunt Arri and Uncle Rich." He said running off with his friend. I've heard this little boy rant about this girl for about a year now, maybe they'll be the next Arrchie-Ville.

"Now imagine if that was our kid, we'd have to be totally cool parents." I said to my boyfriend, watching the little boy enjoy his birthday.

"We are totally cool parents, Arrchie doesn't seem to mind." He tried to convince me, draping his arm over my shoulders, pressing me into his side. I wrapped my arms around his torso, looking up at him.

"Arrchie is only two and a half months old, plus, you watch him like a hawk all day." I said. He scoffed and looked down at me.

"Only because I don't want him getting into anything, he's teething ya know." I smiled at him and shook my head.

"Then I'll get him something to chew on that isn't my shoes." I said walking away to go talk to my other friends.
