Mike was okay, for now, yeah it hurt but wouldn't it? I mean, that's all he's ever known, his parents his grandfather, it's a lot on him. Nonetheless, he's okay, we've made sure of it.

We just got back from a day out on the town, my feet hurt and so did my head. I laid my feet across my mom's lap even if she did tell me not to, she was secretly glad I was here to pester her. Wow, I'm not fifteen anymore, I have a job and I help pay bills, I drive, I'm almost in college. What else, kids, a job, I become Missus Tozier and we get a dog?

"So...Ben got Bev a ring." Richie stated, my mom muttered an 'awww' as she read the paper. Her curls pulled up in a bun. How'd we get so much hair? My dad was bald.

"Yeah, she showed me, it's super cute" I smiled as I filed my nails a bit. I've been getting into nail care recently, so much that I even convinced Richie to let me give him a manicure once. His nails looked beyond healthy. He dipped when I pulled out some purple polish, though.

"Did you ever want a ring?" He asked from the floor in front of our couch, watching television. I could tell he wasn't really watching anymore, he stared at the t.v,but was fully aware of me. My mom looked at me and I shook my head at her before putting my head on the arm of the couch. She hit my ankles and quietly pointed at me then the boy, telling me to answer.

"I thought about it," I quickly added, "but it never mattered." He chuckled before muttering a deeper sentence.

"Huh, what if I did better than a ring?" He asked finally looking at me. I furrowed my brows. Something about this made me a bit uneasy, Richie Tozier was so unpredictable.

My mom smiled and got up, walking away somewhere. I thought I said no proposing? Well, not until after high school.

Richie then got up and took my hand in his, helping me off the couch. We got about one-third of the way up the stairs before I spoke again, "what do you mean, babes, what did you do?" I was very impatient sometimes.

He laughed at my eagerness to see my gift, Richie has never gotten me a gift just because so I considered this 'one for the book' that's one for the book.

" you gotta come in to see it, love." He said as we stopped at my bedroom door. He opened it and came in the room. Immediately a fluff ball began running around my feet. It startled me so I jumped up on the bed with a shriek. I saw y mom snickering by the door with Richie's camera. Richie managed to stop the little thing by petting it gently. He was kneeled down beside it and it gave me the chance to really look at it. I gasped in surprise.

"Oh my god, Richie, you didn't." I said out of shock, my heart was fluttering. He did this for me, he honestly thought of me. For the first time I really understood how much Richie loved me. Maybe it seems dramatic, but having a pet with your partner is like preparing for a kid, he'd do this for me.

He shrugged and smiled while sitting criss-cross next to me as I sat the same way. My mom came in and sat on the floor as I pet the little fur-ball. Did he honestly think this wasn't a big deal? This is the biggest deal!

"What's his name?" I asked with tears welling up in my eyes. This must not make any sense bro you guys, but it will in a bit.

"I was thinking Arrchie?" He implied. I gasped a bit more and 'aww'd.

"Like Arrchie-ville?" I asked, he nodded and pet the little Pomeranian on his head.

"I was thinking that could be his middle name, Vil, spelled V-I-L." I smiled at him, "cause you know, Arrchie-ville  and Arrchie Vil made sense. Oh, and because you love Cruella De Vil because you like her hair." I kissed his cheek and hugged him.

"Why?" I kinda had a hunch but I needed to be sure.

"Well, you said your dog back in Alabama died and it made you really sad, you didn't think about it too much cause of Mike but you still looked the way you did when you became 'sick' awhile ago. It scared me and I didn't want that for you so I- I dunno, wanted to make you feel like you didn't miss anything? Sounds kind of far-fetched, but I saved a lot for him, he's a pure bred and they're expensive. I asked my dad for some help and that's why I picked up all those extra shifts, I just-"

"Were trying to be the best boyfriend in the world?" He blushed a bit and nodded sheepishly, looking down t mo his glided hands that were in his lap. I smiled and grabbed his chin to make him look at me, "you've never had to try so hard, Tozier."

"Thanks, precious, I really appreciate you— that, I really appreciate that." I smiled at him, gosh I'm in love with him...and this, mostly him.

"Momma, look, we gotta another addition to the family!" I held him up between Richie and I, she laughed and snapped a few more pictures.

"I see, baby." She said happily. I love my momma, she's the best, always fun, always here, trying to make herself present at all costs.

"Arrchie  Vil...Mulligan? Tozier?" I didn't think this part threw.

"Arrchie Vil Tozier-Mulligan. A hyphenated last name." My mom decided.

I kid you not, it was about five minutes later before....

"Richie, your son just peed on our carpet!"

"Arri, this is our son, help me!" He screamed.

"We gotta train him don't we?" I asked as I sprayed some cleaner on the bedroom floor.

"It could be fun?" He asked timidly. I rolled my eyes and handed him the floor brush.

"Get to scrubbin, I'll be back." I said picking up the puppy and walking outside. I heard him yell from upstairs.

"Love you!"

I giggled, "love you too!" Thanks, Richie.
