I inhaled deeply, taking in the musky scent around me. Everything was serene and just the way it needed to be. I looked up to see a clear Richie in the foreground with blotchy shapes in the background. He had his arms wrapped around me, it was cold, chilled in my room.I stared at his features. My baby is so cute. I could feel his arms around me securely, his grip tight as his chest rose and fell. His thumb began tracing over my stretch marks gently. I giggled and gave him cheek butterfly kisses, stopping when his face scrunched up in annoyance. He shifted a bit, not much, I'm still against him.
I let him sleep, he deserved it, we all did. Us losers have had a pretty stressful week. Christmas break is coming soon. After that is the new nine weeks, tests, exams, homework. I can't believe it. Soon enough it'll be May and we'll graduate.
I turned us over so that I laid atop of him and rested my face in his neck. The two of us stayed like that for a long while, that is until I had to get up. It's Sunday, nothing has to happen, but it will.
So I go up, the heat cutting on to knock the chill out of my room. I stood in front of my dresser, bending over to look through my drawers. I'll admit my ass if kind of hanging out of my shorts, I could've wore some more appropriate shorts, but what the hell.
"What a sight to wake up to." I heard him groan tiredly. I chuckled and turned around crossing my arms over my sports bra. This is what I sleep in often.
"Why can't I get a 'you look gorgeous' instead?" I teased as I walked over to him and sat on the edge of the bed next to him. I placed my hand over his beating heart and he rested his hand on top of mine.
"Cause you look gorgeous every moment of your life and I'll tell you that until the end of time." He said kissing my fingers, making me smile, "plus you have a nice ass, how could I not?" I chuckled at him and hit his chest lightly.
"Get dressed, we're all supposed to hang out today." I said to him, he groaned and kissed my fingers once more.
"I think that we should ditch em', I have needs too, ya know." He said as he threw on some shirt from his drawer.
"I hang out with you all the time, and give you kisses and hugs." I said pecking his lips and hugging him tightly. He picked me up and sat me back down on my own two feet again.
"I had a crazy dream last night." He watched me pull on my pants, stopping before I buttoned and zipped them. I pulled on one of my tank tops and a sweatshirt of his, mostly because I couldn't tell if it were mine or not.
"What about?" I asked. I placed my hands on his shoulders as he did up my pants before resting his hands on my hips.
He thought for a moment, this giving me the chance to slip his glasses on his face; mine as well. Sometimes we grow accustomed to being blind as bats. He made a face and looked up at the ceiling as if to remember.
"I remember it, but it's hard to explain; I haven't completely registered it yet." He said with a shrug. I chuckled and pulled a little empty notepad. I also grabbed a pen with it and handed the two items to him. He held them in his hands and looked at them with confusion.
"For your dream. Try to remember bits of it throughout the day and hit it down when you can, by the end of the day you'll have your dream on paper. So basically a story." I shrugged he nodded and put the two things in his sweatshirt pocket.
"That's smart, baby cakes." He said standing up so he could kiss my temple properly.
"I know, I'm me." I laughed as I pulled on my socks and boots.
"Calm down, Arri, you're no Einstein." He teased.
"You're not the brightest bulb either, Richie." I retaliated making him follow me out of the room and downstairs.
"Gotta go to work." My mom said rushing past us and grabbing her keys. She kissed my cheek and reached to do the same to Richie. He had a great deal of height on her so she had to place her hand on the back of his head so he could lean down properly.
"Bye, Momma!" I called.
"Bye, Momma!" Richie mimicked.
I smiled and rolled my eyes, "c'mon, we have to go to the library, Stan's gonna have a fit." An he did, but then again he always did. I showed Eddie the Tell-Tale Heart. He still thought it was gross but I had to explain it to him.His opinion didn't change.
In fact, none of them did, he's slowly turning back into himself again, but he's still Richie. I've noticed that he tries to get close to me and that he stares at me a lot. I watched as Nike and Stan spoke and Richie balanced books atop of his head because Eds challenges him to. Bill and Beverly however, I just think Ben deserves a chance.
I stayed quiet and read this book, a strange book and strange people. Seems about right, something so chaotic that it was normal.
"I've been getting invested in colleges, I still don't know where I wanna go." Mike said quietly, I glanced at the man who talked to the librarian, Mr. Skarsgård.
"I'd kill to have an hour alone with him." Bev murmured, changing the subject all together.
"Who you tellin?" The two of us gawked at the older man.
"He's not that great." Bill said, we looked at him as if he gone mad.
"You're blind, Denbrough, he's gorgeous." Beverly said to him, he huffed and went back to his writing for the school's paper. Yup, we all thought Bill Denbrough— journalist— had a nice ring to it.
"So what, you got a whole buffet of hot guys right here?" Richie exclaimed.
"None of you look like that." I answered. Richie rolled his eyes and sank more into his tent.
I noticed his crybaby attitude, leaning against his ear, "don't be jealous, I love you more. Who else is gonna father my children." Besides Mr. Skarsgård— Okay, That's wasn't funny.
"You're a doll, doll," He pecked my lips, "we could take this back to our place." He said, not realizing what he's said.
"Our place?" I questioned.
He deadpanned and froze, I spoke before he became flustered, "I didn't mind" he smiled. Then grabbed the notepad from his pocket and handed it to me. His dream.
