{Kellin}

"Kel...Kellin...get out of here," Vic managed to get out, tightly holding onto his stomach and clenching his eyes. "R-Run! Ruuuun!"

I breathed in deeply and stared at Damien for a second. He eyed me like his prey and scanned my every move. I glanced down at Vic, not wanting to leave him there in the hands of Damien.

"Get...the fuck...out of here, Kel!" Vic screamed between his gasps.

Damien threw Vic to the floor and headed towards me. I bolted the fuck out of there and into the kitchen. I searched around for a knife or some sort of sharp object I could stab him with, but the only things I found were a spatula, a pan, and a fork. Damien usually eats the same thing everyday and he makes us eat fruit and shit, so there's never any need to use a knife I guess.

My dumbass spent too much time looking for something sharp and I completely forgot that Damien was chasing after me. He yanked me by my hair and turned me around, slamming me against the wall. He began to wrap his fingers around my neck to choke me.

"Did you really, really think you were gonna get away from me? Huh, Kellin?" He slapped me across the face with his free hand. "You were planning on running away the whole time, weren't you? Ever since you and Matty were trying to escape years ago, you've been planning this all along! There's no escaping this place, damn you! You can't escape me!" He punched me to the ground and kicked my ribs. "You're gonna pay, Kellin. I swear on my life, you're gonna-"

Damien halted his words and descended to the ground instantly. Vic slammed him in the back of the head with a pan. He threw the pan and fell to his knees.

"Are you okay?" Vic asked lifting my head from the floor. "God, your nose is bleeding." He wrapped my arms around him and hoisted me up, carrying me to my room. We reached the window.

"Vi-Vic," I managed to say. "I...I'm not....m-meant....to be......fr-free," I said, barely above a whisper.

"Don't fucking say that again, you hear me? Don't you ever say that! You and everyone else that live on this earth are meant to be free." He tapped his ear. "Levi....Levi!"

"What?! Is Kellin okay?"

"You said he was safe, that he was with you, jackass!"

"I'm sorry! He got up and ran inside! What was I supposed to do?!" Of course, leave it to a new police officer that doesn't know what he's doing. Obviously you would run after him!

"Shit," I heard Vic say. He looked at me. "You were meant to be free. You were meant to live. You...were meant to be cared for and loved by someone, and that someone isn't Damien. Let's get out of here as fast as we-"

Vic was cut off by Damien whom now was holding a gun. He cocked it back and pointed it directly at me.

"Don't you even move, you son of a bitch," Damien growled, walking inside the room. He looked at Vic. "Give me a reason not to kill Kellin right now, or else this gun is going off."

"There's plenty of reasons for you not to kill him. He hasn't done anything to you but obey you from the start. If anything, I've betrayed you, so kill me instead."

My head rotated so fast to look at Vic. I grabbed onto his arm.

"If you want to kill someone, kill me," Vic uttered, stepping in front of me to protect me.

"Say good-bye, you insolent swine!" Damien screamed at Vic, pulling the trigger back.

I closed my eyes and began to cry, knowing that the bullet pierced through Vic's heart. I fell to my knees and covered my head, hoping that this was all just a dream.
