Jenna's words were rough. Of course Kellin wouldn't talk anymore. His partner was killed in front of his eyes. I guess the destruction and massive blood pool from Matty took his words away. He was in so much shock that he didn't know what to say. I have no idea what he's going through, but I can understand why he wouldn't want to speak anymore. Or maybe I do know what he's going through...
I left Jenna's room to get some fresh air. I wanted to speak to Kellin, but I was afraid of giving away any info I knew about Matty's death. What if something just slips out? I can't let that happen.
As I was walking to Kellin's room, I heard weeping coming from a room I've never been in. I peaked my head into the door and saw a boy crying quietly into his hands. He was sitting cross-legged in the middle of his bed. He had spiky skunk hair that sat perfectly on his head. I saw him wipe his eyes and reach his hand into the drawers next to him. He pulled out a gun and stared it down. He stroked the butt of it and slowly let a tear leak down his face.
My first reaction was to run and tell Damien, but I didn't wanna overwhelm him and possibly make him do something to this poor guy. Besides, I have no idea what he's going to do with that gun anyway. I have a hunch, but I could be wrong.
"It'll all be over soon," I heard him say. He pointed the gun at his head.
I decided to casually walk in and make sure he wasn't going to do anything stupid.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," I said, stepping my way into his room.
He lowered the gun from his head and stared at me. He eyed me up and down, wondering why I was in his room.
"Wh-Who are you?" he sniffed.
"Nobody special. I was just someone at the auction, seeing how the bidding worked and all."
He sniffed again, wiping his nose on his shirt. "Please...just - leave me be. I was going to do something before you came in here."
"And what was that?" I said, folding my arms across my chest, stepping even closer to him. I reached his bed, but didn't sit down.
He didn't answer.
"Shoot yourself with that gun?" I pointed to the gun gripped tightly in his hand. "That's not how you solve problems."
"Whatever, I'm better off without Alex being here with me. I can't believe he was sold." He started to tear up again. "My life was complete shit without him, and now...it's the same bullshit. I'd rather die than be here. It's hopeless." His tears hurt my heart.
"May I sit?" I asked him. He nodded his head at me, moving his cover over for me to sit. "What is your name?"
"J-Jack."
"Listen, Jack, it's not hopeless. You'll be with him again."
"Yeah, when I'm dead," he cried into his hand again. "All I wanna do is be with him. He was the love of my life and now he's gone. How would you feel if the love of your life was taken away from you in a heart beat?"
It sucks that I can't reveal what I do for a living to Jack. He has no idea that I have experienced the love of my life being taken away from me with a snap of my fingers.
It was a dark, gloomy night when Jaime (my boyfriend of two years) and I were on a hunt for the most dangerous drug dealer in town. He carried the hardest drugs you could think of. So many illegal substances he was selling out there to young adults wanting to get hooked up. But what these poor teens didn't know was that these hard ass drugs he was carrying were poisoned and instantly fatal when taken. He has killed about 64 people in the past three months and all Jaime and I wanted to do was find him and take him into the police station. He would most likely be terminated later on.
