The power of five

Chapter three

They all looked at each other in shock. They all shout whispered at each other "are you messing with me?"

"Ok then" said Sypress "this is a serious and truthful game so let's try this again"

So they all put their hands in the circle again and Savanna asked the same question: "who here has super powers?"

Again they all had their hands in the circle when they opens their eyes. "Well then if we have powers then we'll show them. I'll go first.

Sypress began to take off her thin blue gloves to reveal that her hands where made of water. "Water powers" she said with a slight smile. "That is awesome!" said Amar "can I go now?"

No one objected so he started to take off his socks until he was interrupted by Carter feeling the need to say "we don't have to smell your feet, will we?" Amar's response was a glare as he continued to take off his socks. When they where off, a bright glow lit up the room. "Oh my gosh your feet glow" exclaimed Savanna"imma go now"

Savanna rubbed her hands together once or twice until little flames spread across her whole body. "Fire power" she said with Althea same kind if smile Sypress was wearing.

"Ouch!" exclaimed Rayan who was standing a little too close to Savanna and her fireyness. "Oops, sorry. Sometimes I forget people get hurt by flames. How about you go now." She said to Rayan.

Rayan blinked her eyes hard and they turned into quarts, her hair was brown clay and the rest of her was grey stone. "Rock power I guess" she said. Carter thought it was a good idea at punch Rayan to see if she felt like rock but of course Rayan felt nothing and Carter was left with a throbbing fist and yelled "cheek flapping farts that hurt!"

They all looked to Carter because he hadn't displayed his power yet. He took the hint and waved his hand in a circular motion and he was lifted about five feet off the ground. Then he waved his hand in Amar's direction and he was knocked over by a gust of wind. "Wind power!" he said in a deep dramatic voice. They all giggled at Carter's voice.

Then Rayan came up with a serious question: "should we tell someone? What if were dangourous?"

"No we can tell anyone" said Amar "if we do they might spread the word and some creepy scientists will want to dissect us or somthing. As for are we dangourous, the answer is yes. The only thing we can do is try to control our powers, ok?"

They all agreed to this and then there was an awkward silence in which Ian came from the dining hall and scared the living daylight out of them when he swung open the door.

"Holy crap!" yelled Savanna "Ian don't do that to me"

Then Amar burst out laughing "I find it funny when you swear" he said

"Why" asked Savanna

"Because of your Scottish accent. No offence but I think it's funny when Scottish people swear and I don't know why" he replied. She lightly punched him in the arm.

"Well" said Ian "I think I'm gonna hit the hay a bit early if that's ok. See you guys in the morning"

They all mumbled something under the line of 'good night ian' as he walked to the end if the cabin where his room was.

They all decided to follow Ian's example for they had had a day full of discovery. They now knew that they weren't alone but in a good way. At least some people knew how hard it was to keep in somthing you where born with.

The boys went in their side of the cabin and Carter pulled the thick beige curtain across the room to separate them. They all climbed into bed and where ready to sleep until they came to a horrible realization:

Ian was a really loud snorer and they where in for a sleepless night.
