Chapter 11

BLUE

It has been a couple days since the incident. Deuce was finally going back to "his job", so me and Kelly would be stuck with the bodyguard.

"So, why do they call you Big Bird?" Kel asked, while we sat on the couch.

"Cause, im big. And nobody gone mess wit me."

"But, birds aren't really big." She said. I laughed at them, and decided to leave this conversation.

I think Kelly was enjoying her stay here. Plus, I think she likes Boon. Deuce and I haven't talked much since that night. I was thankful for what they were all doing for us though.

It was their job now. We're in this because of them. Although, I was still mad at him, I just couldn't help staring at him sometimes. He was so fine, but I'll never tell him that.

If Mia was to pop back up, then I'd probably hate him and he'd disgust me. She hasn't really been around, and I haven't really seen them speak through phone. But hey, that's none of my business.

"We bout to head out. Big Bird got you til we get back." Deuce said to us, walkin in the livin' room with all black.

DEUCE'S POV

"All black?" Kelly asked me.

"Yup. I'm back. And I ain't playin' no mo."

I looked at Blue, and she was still on mute. She ain't have a mug or nun, just her beautiful face lookin' at me.

I was definitely gonna fix this, when I got back.

"Big Bird. U hear sum, hit us up." I dapped him up, and we left out.

WAREHOUSE

"Nigga, I want you on the street lookin' fo info. If you can't do that, get tf out my face fo I kill u." I said aggressively.

"And you. See if you can find ya friend." Zel pointed.

"Um, ok." The new girl smiled nervously.

"Boon. Call up Pete. See if he got sum."

I was done and I wasnt playin' no mo. You comin' afta me, my brothers, and now Blue? Over.

"Rolla. You got sum fa me?"

"Na. Nothing. Dead end." He said walkin' in the black room.

"Aite." Before he could say anythin' else, I shot him.

"What about you Stone? What you got?"

"Me and the new girl found the girl from Beauties."

"My man. Zel. Boon. Let's go." I said grabbin' Stone by his coat. "Preciate it."

"Yo sum body call Murch." Zel said, while we stepped over Rolla.

BEAUTIES BACK ROOM

"Shawty. Just tell me'." I said.

She sat there shakin' and had tears comin' down.

"I won't hurt ya ma, if you tell me."

"I only kno that he was lookin' for yall. That's it. I don't kno him. I was just at the store one day, and he was there on the phone." She said, while she shook.

"Continue." Zel said, movin' his gun.

"I knew he was talkin' about yall, cause Mya said she worked with yall. So, I knew yall street names. That's all I know."

"Hey what yall charge fa this edge control?" Boon asked.

We looked at him like he was stupid. "Kelly need some." He whispered.

"Look. We ain't gone hurt you."

"If you see this nigga again, give him a message fa us." Zel said getting' in ha face.

"Tell that nigga, he dead. Live while he can."

"We done here." Zel said, walkin out.

"So, what about the edge control?" Boon asked, lookin' at the different containers. She looked at him unsure, but motioned for him to take what he wanted.

"Thank ya. Boo edges gone be hella laid."

I shook my head, and wanted to get home.

BLUE

I watched tv most of the day, because we weren't really "allowed" to go out. I was kind of glad though. I was always a home body, and plus I was afraid to go anywhere, anymore.

I was upstairs painting a picture, while Kelly was downstairs making brownies.

I heard the front door open, with loud mouths following. I knew they had got back. I wondered what they did today, and wondered if they had found anything.

I went into the bathroom, to clean up some of the paint on my hands.

DEUCE

"Where Blue?" I asked Kelly.

"Upstairs."

"Aite Bird. I'll hit you up ta morrow." I said runnin up the stairs. I knocked on her door and didn't get an answer.

I opened the door, and I didn't see her. I saw her bathroom door closed, so I'd figured I just wait on the bed for her.

I looked over and saw her canvas. It looked just like her. A self-portrait. I picked up the canvas, and studied it for a couple of minutes.

"You're so beautiful Blue." I said lookin' down at the canvas.

BLUE'S POV

I stood there, and watched him look at my portrait. I heard what he said, and didn't know how to feel.

I coughed, and he nearly jumped outta his skin.

"My fault Blue. I was just tryna see what you was up too." He said, turning around to face me.

I was mute until he spoke again. "This is dope. You need to show people yo work."

"That's my dream." I said lowly.

"Listen Blue. I wanna talk." He said, putting down the canvas.

"About?"

"About what I said. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean what I said. She threatened me, when I was tryna end things, because ..." He paused.

"Because what Deuce? Save it, okay?"

"Because I want you. Real shit. Ion really express myself like that, and I'm being honest wit you." He said.

I took my time to lift my head, and look at him. He looked so serious, and I believed him.

"What? You want me? Why?"

"Because Blue. You're beautiful. I love the way you look. I love your natural self. I do like you. Anybody would be lucky to have someone like you. And I want that to be me." He said, walking towards me.

"She threatened me and tryna put some lame ass people on me. I only said it to get her off my back, but it was all lies."

"I'm sorry that I hurt you baby girl. Forgive me?" He grabbed my chin, and kissed me.

"I-I forgive you." I grabbed his neck, kissing him back.

"Um, hello. It's movie night." Kelly came in the room. "Oops, my bad."

"Uh, yeah right. I forgot." I backed away from him, then followed behind her.

"Bihhhhhhh, spill the tea sus." She said grabbin' my hand.

I turned around, and saw Deuce smirkin at me. 😏

ANONYMOUS POV

"They spoke to the girl from the salon."

"She said they tried to scare her, but she put up a front."

"It's coming along boss."

"We'll meet up again soon."

"Okay."
