Audrey's POV
"Hey mom, I know I'm grounded but can I go to the football game tonight? it's states and I'm going to be the only girl that doesn't go" I walk into the living room and she takes her glasses off and looks at me "all the volleyball players are going to be there."
"No"
"Please, mom please. I'm the student section leader" I beg
"No" she repeats
"Come on, dad isn't home! he would never know." my dad was on a trip with Mason and Niall, along with Kyle for a boys weekend. It was Thursday night, Mason has the day off tomorrow because we have AP midterm testing.
"No, you have your testing tomorrow, you have to study." She puts her glasses back on and goes back to reading her book
"I've been studying all week mom, please! it's states!"
"I said no Audrey. Go study."
I groan and stomp back upstairs. My books are on my floor and many of my notes are scattered on my bed. Is it possible to study too much?
AP English and history is tomorrow for me and Monday before school I have AP art. For art I don't have to study too much. It's the concepts and then since I'm in the photography section, I go on a scavenger hunt, an she grades on how well the shot composition is.
It sucks, knowing that I can't be at the game tonight. Even though Carter and I can't see each other, I still should go since I'm the student section leader. And to top it all off I'm the photographer. "Mom please!" I yell from my room in hopes she hears me
"No Audrey."
I roll my eyes, knowing she can't see me and open my English book. I've went over this study guide more than five times and I could recite it back to you if needed. Just because I've studied that much. "I'll even clean the gutters!"
"What will it take to get you to shut up?"
"Let me go to the game!" I yell back and I hear the book close and her footsteps up the stairs. "Please, it's states."
"Who's taking you?"
"Bethany was going to pick me up." We talked about this at school knowing my mom was a push over.
"Okay, you have a choice." She waits for me to nod and continues "I let you go to the game and you come home at half time and we spend the whole weekend in LA with Bridget. Or you stay the whole game and we leave Saturday, and spend half the day Sunday in LA"
So, either way... I can go to the game? I don't see the bad part of this. Other than I don't get to see the end of the game... But I want to see Bridget again, I miss her. "I'll come back at halftime."
"And if halftime isn't done by 8:30, you come home before 8:30. If you're not, were staying home and you're studying all weekend."
"Deal, thank you, thank you!" I gave her a hug and put on my red sweatshirt.
The doorbell rings and I run down the stairs, opening up the door to see Bethany in the same sweatshirt. "So she said yes!?"
"Yeah but I have to leave by 8:30" she nods and I walk out the door, getting into her jeep.
When we get to the game, Bethany meets up with her girlfriend and we make it to the front of the stands. I scout out for number 13 and light up when I spot him.
He quickly runs over and I bend over the railing, "I didn't think you're going to be here."
"I'm your good luck charm, aren't I?" I joke and bend down, taking his cross necklace and put it around my neck.
