Honestly, when Tony said that he would introduce the Avengers to me, I didn't expect him to show them to me right away. He, being the egotistical man he is, proudly showed me around the Avengers Tower.
The place was so huge, I needed a map to find which place to go where. And, when I told that to Tony, he just grinned and said, "You haven't reached the souvenir shop. You'll find a map there."
I stared at him with a raised eyebrow; I couldn't tell whether he was joking or what. But, with his serious expression, I chose to believe him. After all, he was a billionaire. After roughly 2 hours of showing me around, he finally concluded by saying, "It's your time to meet the Avengers."
Before he could say anything further, I interrupted, "Are you sure? Because the last time you said that, we definitely did not meet them. Who are the Avengers, by the way?"
Tony stared at me for a second, then shook his head, a faint smile making its way on his face, "We're a team. A team to defend the earth."
"Defend the earth from what exactly?" I asked, curious.
"From evil. The evil that threatens us." He grimaced.
"What if you guys are the evil?" I asked, referring to what Annabeth told me; that he almost destryed New York.
Tony's eyes widened, "You know what happened-"
"Not really." I said.
"Well, then, that's a story for another time. Come on, kiddo."
He pushed the door open, revealing a group of 4 elders. The muscular blondie among them, polishing a disc-shaped thing, which had a white star in the middle, surrounded red and white concentric circles, smiled at the sight of Tony and, on seeing me quirked an eyebrow.
Another well-built blondie one was sitting on a chair, swinging a huge hammer. When I mean huge, I mean, like real huge. The hammer was definitely not a fake one. He seemed to me practising and payed no heed to either Tony or I. The man next to him was rolling his eyes continuously, muttering under his breath, "Show off. I'll show them what an archer can do."
He began to dump a few arrows in his quiver. Well, if you could call it a normal quiver. It was more of a mechanical type. He, too, like blondie 2 didn't notice us coming. He abruptly stood up and made his way towards a red-haired lady, who looked extremely beautiful and her hair scarily reminded me of Clarrise LaRue, the daughter of Ares.
Her eyes were like the ones of a tiger, ready to pounce on her prey and they also had that determination that could make you cower in fright. But she wasn't paying attention to the 'archer', her eyes were locked into my green ones, and I struggled to look away. Now I was convinced that I met Clarrise.
"Tony, where have you been?" The blondie 1 exclaims.
"I told you, I had some important business." Tony retorts.
"If the 'important business' involves the girl. Who's she?" The archer shamelessly said, "Is she another fangirl of Steve here? Or does she want money?"
I gritted my teeth, Who the fuck did this guy think he was?
Naturally, whenever I'm angry, chaos always follows A nearby couch began to float and dashed straight towards the archer, who in surprise yelled, "What the hell?" And ducked just in time.
The last time this happened was in Hogwarts, when Malfoy and his followers decided it was funny to give out batches, during the Triwizard Tournament, that said, Potter Stinks!
I had flew in rage when I came to know about it and when I went to confront him after the DADA class, he put on his don't-mess-with-me attitude, but, I had a better one. A chair from the class flew in his direction and he fled screeching, 'My father will hear about this!'
