The thought of facing Ultron itself gave me goosebumps. Just as the jet had landed, Clint advised Bruce to stay back and attack when told.
"Okay, so, this is a simple plan, just don't let Ultron take anything from Klaue. And try to stay alive." Dad looked at me, and I gave him a thumbs up.
"Steve, Thor and Alex, come with me. And Clint, Tasha, go from around the place, and attack from behind. That way, we got him all covered." The group nodded as dad reminded everybody of their duty.
We stood up and I dusted my new 'super hero suit', according to Thor. It was a dark purple tee, with black leggings and my classical black leather boots and the key was still hanging around my neck.
"Clint, watch out for the speedster." I called out to Clint who just rolled his eyes and muttered, "He's gonna be the one who will not see me coming."
I raised an eyebrow at him in confusion and followed the trio.
"Don't compare me to Stark!!" I heard Ultron's voice and my head snapped to Steve, who raised a hand to tell me not to attack.
"Stark, he's- he's a sickness!"
Dad nodded at us, signalling our turn, and landed down on the metal ground, as I apparated next to him.
"Aw, junior, you're gonna break your old man's heart." Dad feigned hurt.
"If I have to." Ultron retorted and the hairs on my arms stood.
"Nobody has to break anything." Thor tried to calm the tension.
"Clearly, you've never made an omelette." Ultron sarcastically said.
"He beat me by one second." Dad looked at me and Thor, and I could hear the grin in his voice.
"Yes, he's funny." The platinum-haired boy said, with a thick Russian accent, "Mr. Stark, it's what, comfortable? Like old times?"
"This was never my life." Dad looked around.
"You two don't have to listen to the sarcastic metal man here." I took a step forward, trying to help, but apparently, the Ultron had other ideas.
"Alex Stark, the only light in Stark's dark world, his only gem. What were you even thinking when you joined the Avengers when your boyfriend is facing a similar fate in London with the noseless freak." Ultron laughed as my jaw clenched so hard, I think Steve heard it because he shot me a worried look. I closed my hands into a fist, my nails digging into my palm, as the metal cylinders on the sides began to shake.
Dad turned to look at me and incredulously yelled, "BOYFRIEND?"
"Now's not the time, Stark." Steve hissed at him and turned to the twins, "You guys can still walk away with this." Steve said, his voice tight.
"Oh, we will." The girl said and I loosened my hands and unclenched my jaw.
"I know you've suffered." Steve took a step forward.
Ultron suddenly made a weird sound from the back of his throat and mocked, "Captain America, God's righteous man. Pretending you could live without a war. I can't physically throw up in my mouth, but-"
"If you believe in peace, then let us keep it." Thor interrupted, clearly sick of Ultron's remarks.
"I think you're confusing peace with quiet." Ultron stepped forward.
"Uh-huh. What's the vibranium for?" Dad asked, his chin pointing towards Ultron's hands, in which he held a cylindrical thing that apparently contained vibranium, which was a bright turquoise colour.
"I'm glad you asked that, because I wanted to take this time to explain my evil plan." Ultron pulled his hand forward which caused dad to surge forward as Ultron send a blast of red in his way, that sent dad flying back.
Thor pulled me behind as Dad and Ultron fought.
"Take the robos!" I yelled at Steve, "Bombarda!" I shot at the robot making its way towards me.
The parts of the robot flew as I ran and apparated at Clint's side, "What are you doing?" He hissed when I came at his side.
"Keeping you alive." I told him, as I looked down at the robots, "Also, you got a good view from here. I can take them down easily."
"Expelliarmus!" I shot at a man holding the gun and he flew back. A streak of silver flashed across the room and I was now aiming for the speedster.
"Go for the bots and soldiers. I got the Enhanced." I commanded Clint, who nodded and knocked another bow and shot it at a soldier.
I apparated to the topmost part of this area and scanned the place for the witch. She was nowhere to be seen, but I had the speedster in my line of vision.
"Thor, status." I heard Steve over the comm.
"The girl tried to warp my mind. Take special care, I doubt a human could keep her at bay. Fortunately, I am mighty." I snorted at that and dropped infront of the speedster.
"Hey, silver, why don't you take someone of your league?" I called out.
"You are no match for me, doll." He said and zoomed at me. Before I could even figure out what he was going to do, I was pushed back, but I stood up as quickly as I fell and aimed a spell at the flash of silver and blue, "Petrificus Totalus!"
Just when I thought it hit him, he was right infront of me, grinning, "Mediocre aims."
"Stupefy!" I yelled, and this time, it hit him and he was sent flying back as I heard him say, "This is the second freaking time."
" 'Mediocre aims.' " I mimicked his voice, annoyed. I never, ever miss. And that's why I was always the best at archery back at camp.
I apparated back at Clint' side, "Silver is down."
"Good job. Only his freakish sister is not to be seen." Clint shot an arrow, which sent some sort of vibrations, and took down all the soldiers.
"I'll go check." I volunteered, and I turned around, just to hear Clint knock a bow and hit it somewhere behind. I turn on my heels and saw that he had the witch. She had an arrow on her head, which seemed to mess with her powers.
"I've done the whole mind-control thing. Not a fan." Clint shrugged.
I walked towards the two as Clint reached out to take the arrow, and suddenly, we both were pushed back into the glass and I knew it was the speedster.
"Not again." I complained as I sat up and looked at the familiar face of Silver, who carried his sister and was out of sight.
"Yeah, you better run." Clint said.
I groaned as I stood up, and gave Clint a hand, "Let's get the others."
We found Natasha, looking lost. The witch had messed with her.
"Natasha, I could really use a lullabye." Dad's voice echoed through my ears.
"Not gonaa happen. Not for a while." Clint replied.
I took Nat's face in my hands and examined her, "The witch. She did it."
"Oh, fuck." Clint cussed.
"I'll go check on Steve and Thor." I stood up and went in search of them.
"The whole team is down, dad. I could help-" I started.
"No, no, no! I'm calling in Veronica." Dad said, and cut the connection, leaving me alone in search of Thor and Steve.
